Regarding seasons & climate, the tent has enough of ventilation options, but this is a rather enclosed design with solid windows. It is built for the EU market, and I see it best suited for a cooler climate. The waterproof rating is such that you will always be protected. There’s a good sized, zipped electricity access point for getting power into the tent if you have an electric hookup (EHU).Observe the drop-down floor design on the front door. The Coleman Meadowood Air 4 has a lovely sized large front door, making access super easy as well as letting in lots of coolness in during the hot weather. Also, at the front door the lip part of that sewn-in groundsheet unzips and folds flat to make easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs etc., a really thoughtful design feature. At the front there’s a large door and over the top is a decent sized poled sun/rain canopy which also has sides expanding down to the floor. The canopy did give us some shelter from the hot sun as we sat outside the Meadowood Air 4 in the baking July sun. I’m sure it would help keep the rain off us and the front door had there been any sign of any wet stuff. Definitely a job that can easily be done by one person, and without feeling you’ve just gone 10 rounds with a wrestler. It went straight into the bag first time, no need to unroll, get more air our and then hope it fits into the bag. It was all very effortless, and most importantly stressless. The front porch can be closed off for additional weather protection with an easily attached zipped front face (Coleman 4L Vestibule sold separately) Regarding the area, the tent offers 118 ft² (11 m²) of the floored area. The inner sleeping rooms have 5.9 m² and the front living room 5.1 m². This is the same area as in their Coleman Spruce Falls 4 Person Family Tent that is also dark-rest type, but it is an extended dome. Also, this inner area is the same as in the Eurohike Genus 400 Air Tent.
