Readers are always appalled and horrified at the lengths people will go, for whatever the reason may be, to kill a person. I read the preview of this book before being given access to the full e-galley, and I was immediately gripped and wanting to read more. In the version of the Christmas Killer that was added to Adventure Escape Mysteries for Android late in 2021, the clue in Freddie’s diary has changed. The storytelling is straightforward and free of rabbit holes so the cases stay suspenseful and are easy to follow. It begins with a present and a Christmas card; a dead and bloody partridge and a card featuring the well known carol, The Twelve Days of Christmas; inside is a threat - Twelve Days, Twelve Murders, Twelve Victims and they all deserve what's coming to them.I enjoyed trying to get to know all of the characlters iving in the small town and figuring out who wa the mastermind behind the murders. Going through the doorway to the left side may help you discover a room fully decorated following the Christmas theme. This was a different kind of a thriller with more of a focus on the "whodunit" part than the grizzly murders. I enjoyed the characters and it was pleasing to have the home life side of the leading detective portrayed. The multiple POVs - The book shifts between James, his wife Annie, and the victims of the serial killer!

There were only hints of Christmas, but it was the perfect atmosphere and something I didn’t know my thrillers were missing!

I thought it was so cool how the victims’ weren’t identifiable from their POV, so you were left guessing about who was next! I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers in exchange for an unbiased review and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys good British based fiction. You will interact with lots of characters during the game and explore at least three locations to find hidden objects. You will discover an Empty Soda Bottle, a Second Wrapper, Fish Food, Yellow and Red File Folders, and an Apple Core on the left sid e.

I think The Christmas Killer is more along the lines of a cozy murder mystery rather than a chilling thriller, making it the perfect novel to curl up with.
