About this deal

For every twist, turn and roadblock the journey has to offer, this collection provides relief to busy minds and dares us to live with a reckless abundance of joy. Really enjoyed despite the fact I would probably label myself as a non lover of poetry etc, I actually found some within this book that loved, adored in fact. Donna Ashworth Quotes (Author of I Wish I Knew) - Goodreads

Tell the teenagersThat they are not being left behind, that all the other young people are waiting too, this stress is collective. This is more like a poetic devotional for women, reminding us of what’s important and what’s not, what to see and what to take out of our focus. All-encompassing, honest and relatable, Life, Love and Loss will resonate with anyone who has experienced the joy and heartbreak that travel alongside being a parent, child, partner or friend. There will be moments, days even, when the sun doesn’t seem to rise in your world and the breath feels sucked right out of your lungs. It helped me deal with the daily feelings I have, and helped me understand that these feelings are relevant .

Inspiring, uplifting… these oft-used words aren’t enough to describe the depth of feeling and understanding these poems provide.

A poem by Donna Ashworth – The Good Grief Trust A poem by Donna Ashworth – The Good Grief Trust

Life covers just that, beginnings, endings, age, all sorts really and it’s been wonderful to sit at the end of the day and read one of these, they bring a sense of peace on the hamster wheel that is Life. Share the love you felt for that person with all the other special people in your life, for it is limitless. These days, I can pretty much narrow it down to – good health for us all, enough money, enough time, enough fun, enough work – really, just enough. Because one day, every woman wakes up and realises, that quite frankly, they put themselves through hell. Donna does this beautifully and leads us to a peace where grief and love coexist and perhaps describe the other. On saying this, I am so happy with things as they are and would be utterly content to continue doing what I do every day. It’s not the book you will do ever truly finish, its a book I will read over and over especially when I need a little pick me up!

I Wish I Knew Funeral Poem - Funeral Guide

All packed into a van,to wait their arrival on the other side And as these parts are removed, those left feel further away. This book is beautiful and the words in a lot of the poems have really resonated with me and what I am feeling. So please don’t fall into the trap of believing December must be all matching pyjamas, expensive soirées, perfect festive tableware and gifts galore. Readers are cherishing Loss - 'Emotional and beautifully written poems that reach out and speak to you. And as the years abound and you read your story back it will suddenly appear that your life was right on track. When your head hits the pillow tonight Remember the smiles of the day, the laughter, the warm words… And let everything else go.
