Featurette: "The Making of 'Coraline'" (HD, 36 min) - There are no surprises in this informative featurette that examines different areas of the film's pre-production and its end result.With Gaiman's ideas lengthened, including the addition of slouching friend Wybie to help Coraline out, the picture has difficulty keeping perfect time. But small shortcomings aside, it’s still a good story told very well and in cinematic form executed by masters of their craft. While that may not be the most attractive aspect of the release, the new material is a pretty cool look inside the making of the movie and the arduous process of making these films.

Only two scenes were actually removed from the final product, while the rest are mostly extended sequences that really don't affect the narrative either way. Deleted Scenes – Selick introduces a selection of deleted scenes explaining why each was removed (due to pacing or overstatement) but all amount to only a few seconds except for one ‘new’ scene dubbed ‘Buggy Flowers’.Only those willing to make the jump into the 3D realm will want to add this to their collection, while owners of the previous 2D version will be satisfied with their original purchase.

The film’s original musical score was picked to be mixed into the height channels first and foremost and it works very nicely.Still, after more than a decade, this film is sweet, charming, and haunting and leaves some lasting visuals that will no doubt conjure up some nightmares.
