Her coworkers can’t quite figure her out—she never talks about her personal life, she never works overtime, and she never joins them for happy hour. Is she antisocial? Nope, she’s rushing home to play video games alone. That is until a stray cat is found in the office parking lot and ends up coming home with her! Having no experience with pets, Riko uses lessons drawn from video games to guide her in cat care, while her cute companion tries to understand her behavior through a cat's worldview. Equal parts funny and heartwarming, Cat + Gamer is the perfect manga for cat lovers, gamers, and anyone looking for a lighthearted new read! NEW LEVEL: We added new garden level, with different quests. You can ride on a carousel, jump on a trampoline, push balls from slides, push balls to pool, ride on a skateboard, destroy gnome statues, pop balloons. I found our main character, Riko, to be an interesting character and loved seeing her gaming habits right from the beginning because it really helps show how different things are once she takes in this stray.

Riko, a twenty-nine-year-old office worker with an obsession for video games, finds her quiet life upended when she takes in a stray cat! Her coworkers can't quite figure her out--she never talks about her personal life, she never works overtime, and she never joins them for happy hour. Is she antisocial? Nope, she's rushing home to play video games! One day, a stray cat is found in the office parking lot, and before Riko knows it, the cat has moved in with her! Having no experience with pets, Riko uses lessons drawn from video games to guide her in cat care, while her cute companion tries to understand her behavior through a cat's worldview.

The Japanese title is something like 'Gamer who lives with a cat,' which doesn't exactly leap off the shelves," the writer explains. "I brainstormed a bunch of ideas, including Nine Lives and Ready Player Cat. But none of them really sparked. Then I thought of keeping it simple, and just Cat + Gamer with the plus sign being a controller dpad. That was the clear winner." The initial release date is February 2016. The game is updated with various major improvements in May 2018 and published here on CrazyGames. Developer

Sakura is the quintessential perfect office worker, but she never goes to social events. That's because she's secretly a hardcore gamer! When a stray kitten shows up at the office, she surprises herself by volunteering to give it a home, even though she knows nothing about cats. But if she can level up dozens of RPG characters, how hard can it be to level up a cat? Oh my god, this was SO adorable and I loved it so much. All I needed to hear was that the series is about a gamer girl and her newly adopted kitten, and I was sold! Musubi the kitten is so precious and perfectly depicted, right down to his goofy little poses and movements, and it was so fun to see things through Riko's oblivious perspective as she tries to figure out his quirks and personality. I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys cutesy slice-of-life manga and cats! ♥ a b 猫暮らしのゲーマーさん 8 (in Japanese). Shogakukan. Archived from the original on October 4, 2023 .
