Knowing that this might be the last time they will see each other, they share a final goodbye hug, part ways, and exchange their last words of dialogue from afar. Buzz says "to infinity...", and Woody completes the sentence with "...and beyond."

As another Zyclops places a device to capture the Armadillo, Buzz blasts away another Zyclops which collides with another one, leaving one Zyclops left during the chase. Just as the Armadillo prepares for hyper speed, the ship could not launch, due to the fuel crystal being ejected from the ship. As Buzz attempts to grab the crystal, he takes on the lone Zyclops chasing his ship, which it grabs the fuel and then takes it to Zurg. Zurg, who captured Buzz and took him to his ship, passes by the Zyclops who hands him the fuel crystal, which Zurg explains that the robots who work for here cannot say Buzz's name but instead Zurg's name. Later, Zurg summons two red Zyclopses to capture Buzz after he opposed when he feared that Zurg performing any more hyper speed actions would erase the timeline. Two gray Zyclopses in the control room notice Buzz equipped with the fuel crystal following Old Sox in a plan for Buzz to destroy the ship. A running gag in the series involves XR being constantly blown up, but this proves to be little more than an inconvenience rather than a serious problem. Buzz Lightyear is a meetable character at all of the Disney Parks and Resorts, located in Tomorrowland and in Toy Story Land. He is often accompanied by the Aliens. Tim Allen reprised his role using one of his archival recordings in the 2018 Walt Disney Animation Studios film Ralph Breaks the Internet, where he repeated his famous catchphrase.At the Terillium Mine, Sox, Buzz, and the rest of the Junior Patrol, arrive at the facility and enter a facility within the mine and just as they enter, four AI devices activate and trap Sox and his allies in capture cones, leaving them unable to escape; after Darby and Izzy are caught in the cone where Mo was trapped, Sox ends up getting trapped as well. Buzz asks Sox if there is a possible way to disarm the traps, but Sox is unable reach the controls that can help him deactivate the traps, leading the four to slam their cone into the control after Buzz keeps the door open, although they are unable to disarm the traps; Buzz and his allies (who are all in the same cone) managed to slam the control very hard while the door is still open, albeit pressure they put causes a part of the platform carrying part of the building to collapse. Just as the part of the building collapses, Buzz tosses Sox onto Izzy's hand to help protect him just as Buzz manages to retrieve the coil and escape the collapsing part of the building.
