Like its brothers in arms, the GBX-100 has multiple functional displays that take full advantage of the the high-resolution display. The reason is simple: at a very similar cost, you get quite a few more features that are both interesting and practical, especially if you’re into surfing. And while the design is very similar, we think the stainless steel bezel gives GBX 100 an edge in terms of aesthetics. All of the G-Move data can also be conveniently viewed on your smartphone, using the Mobile link function that connects the watch with your phone via Bluetooth.

Even with only, basic notification coming from the phone the watch does send info to the Move App, whether iOS or Android, such as surf and training data, and you can even set goals within the App. And you can set surfing spots and other features and send them to the watch via the Move app. So the watch does communicate in a two-way nature, just not as far as phone notifications which are one-way only. Being that this is an all-digital watch face what you normally would call a “dial” is actually best referred to as the “display” since it’s a digital screen. This is not a touch screen but all of the functions of the watch are displayed on this screen and controlled by the 5 buttons surrounding the bezel.In reality, I have as much use for the tide and moon functions as an orthodontist has a need for the helium release valve on a Rolex Sea-Dweller. But it looks cool. Also provides comfort with a soft urethane band with slits that help with fit and allow water and sweat to escape. I just recently found new Casio GBX-100, a bit overpriced, but since they are discontinued I decided to buy one. And, as many of you (probably all of you), I faced very unpleasant issue with the bluetooth pairing. So here is the solution that I found:

Conclusion: It seems like the app is written with some bugs. It seems like they missed one step in the connection scheme. If they could repeat the connection procedure avoiding all these "create new account" the app would work as it should. So it is not a watch issue. The reason why we consider the GBX 100 model a better value than GBD 200 is simple: it offers more useful features at basically the same price.
