The Liberty 4 NC buds have single custom drivers compared to the Liberty 4's dynamic dual drivers -- and a completely different case design -- but I thought they delivered more pleasant sound than the Liberty 4s. Their treble is a little smoother and they feature strong bass performance. They came across as fairly open, with a reasonably wide soundstage. You can tweak the sound profile in the companion app for iOS and Android. These earbuds also come with six pairs of ear tips with two different rigidity. The different sizes and rigidity on the ear tips affect the earbuds’ fit to your ears, which will also affect comfort. Like the Skullcandy Push Ultra, the charging case also uses a zipper, which is more prone to daily wear and tear than a magnet clasp. Their ability in the latter department is aided by the inclusion of active noise cancellation, of which there are six levels, an IPX4 rating certifies them water resistant and a fleshed-out companion app lets you customise your experience to a pleasing degree. On the audio front, the Tune Flex offer a warm, engaging sound signature that lends itself well to mainstream pop music, while call quality is another of their strong suits.
