About this deal

Additionally, it’s worth considering that if you’re someone who usually uses cupping to treat multiple body parts at once, it may take you a while to get through your session with the TheraCup, as you can only use one cup at a time. Each treatment cycle is three minutes, so moving around the body can take some time.

Management of osteoarthritis pain – A major study in 2021 4 found moderate evidence that cupping can be used to help reduce osteoarthritis pain in the knee. This may be especially relevant for older adults who are struggling with symptoms of osteoarthritis, but who don’t want to have a joint replacement surgery. Admittedly, it’s not necessary, and I understand that adding these features would likely increase the cost of the device. However, not having to count how many times I hit the button to increase or decrease the stim intensity to know what level it’s on would certainly be the most welcomed feature for me. The final verdict: is it worth it? The charge indicator is simple; it lights green when it’s fully charged, blue for a mid-charge, and orange for a low charge. The light flashes when charging and turns solid green when fully charged. The TheraCup promises vacuum cupping therapy via suction combined with heat to create a versatile portable smart cupper. The Theracup can perform three different stimulation modes based on your personal preference. Each mode has different parameters and a pretty unique feel to it.Therabody promises three therapies in one device: suction, heat, and vibration. Let’s see how does it performs then.

It’s not just a gadget that you buy to try out; it does what it claims to do. It’s a great choice for amateur and pro athletes. It’s also great for physios. On top of that, it is a reasonably priced device. Or you can use the more advanced smart suppers that dynamically change pressure. The Achedaway Cupper utilizes this technique. Dynamic cupping therapy using Achedaway Cupper – TheraCups’s main rival. But you’d need high-tempo vibrations for even better effectiveness, which the TheraCup doesn’t seem to have. Granted, they advertise 1800 to 3000 shakes per minute in the manual, but somehow, the vibrations are gentle (even to the 3 rd setting). They are not quite as effective compared to the suction-heating combo. While the device works on your skin, you can adjust the suction, vibrations, or heat intensity to your liking. The 3 LEDs next to the buttons indicate the selected setting. Yes, we tried gliding the cup on the skin, but it’s quite a hassle. The suction is pretty tight, even at the first level, to allow the cup to glide smoothly. We’re not sure about the battery’s capacity, but the device can last for 120 minutes with a full charge.

Helping in sports recovery – A minor study in 2020 3 found that cupping can effectively improve hamstring issues like tightness and strains. Short press the vibration button to turn ON vibration. Short press the vibration button to toggle through the speed settings. A long press turns off the treatment.

I’ve been testing out the Therabody TheraCup for the last few months and will take you through my thoughts on the device here. But first, here are the specs you need to know about. You’re probably wondering, how well does this thing perform? To give a straight answer, we’d say it performs pretty well. Here’s how the suction works.

Short press the heat button to turn ON the heat treatment. A short press toggles through the three temperatures, and a long press stops the treatment. The device comes in a neoprene carrying pouch. Everything is inside. Therabody TheraCup – What is included As a portable device, you’ll need to charge the TheraCup up to get it working for you, but the good news there is that the 120-minute battery life will last you quite a while. Each cupping session runs for three minutes, so you’d need to work through 40 treatments for the battery to run its course. I rarely use the cups more than four times in a row, so 40 sessions would take most people a minute to get through. How does the suction compare to Achedaway? The Achedaway Cupper has a wider range, from 20kPa to 60kPa, and up to 5 levels. This makes the Achedaway Cupper stronger at higher levels.

Customer reviews

Simply put, you’re getting a pretty powerful suction out of this thing. Even at first level the suction is pretty robust. No chance the device falls off once you’ve hooked it onto your body. Short press the suction (middle) button to begin cupping. Short press the suction button to toggle through the pressure settings (low, medium, high). In saying that, I think the pain relief cupping can offer is more important than cellulite reduction, so I was more interested in focusing on this feature when trialling the device. Once comfortable, turn ON TheraCup™ by dragging the MasterSwitch slider to the right. The battery status LED shows that the device is ON.
