I like this game. I do a lot of RPGs and I use this game as a gateway for kids to learn dnd. I also play the game, as intended, and it gives you the bare bones essentials of a dungeon delving game. Highly recommended for travelling with kids. Easy to set up, even easier to play. Would absolutely recommend to board game players and RPG fans. Critically, we wanted each play to be unpredictable; a trip into the unknown. What we never wanted to do was control or subdue its unpredictability, because this is essential, possibly defining, element of adventure. That’s the lure of a dungeon crawler, surely? That’s what gets your heart beating a little faster as you ready your sword, right?

Now, I did find the character choices a bit odd as it seems to mix class and race, however functionally, they work well. Being a fan of D&D, I wanted a similar type game that I could play solo. This is easily the most fun I’ve had playing a solo game. Rules are straight forward and it takes 3 minutes to set up. Set up and start playing in 3 minutes. Lightning-fast combat – simple but rewarding. A broad appeal across different ages and experiences. Play male or female characters – elf, dwarf, human or healer An easy to learn fun game that kind of invoked memories of playing D&D with good-quality components, easy to follow rules. I have seen others saying it is too expensive, possibly, but it is a good game.

This is a cute kind of fold in the game which should make for the major moments of tension. Will you suddenly sell out those you’ve been fighting and exploring with so far? Or will you all attempt to leave together? In truth, it’s more fun to destroy your friends than to succeed together, so that’ll be what happens. This can lead to a fairly cynical kind of game being played, where you’re hoping the dungeon itself will soften your friend up for a final treacherous blow. It’s every rabbit for themselves in this delightful roll ‘n’ run family game of competitive carrot rustling for 2 to 4 players. Loses its fun after you realize it is impossible to win if you can’t defeat the first monster and super simple if you do. Re-playable in competitive mode, but the cut-throat tactics may be fun for some, but not for me. Bag of Dungeon is a much lighter game than most crawlers. It’s so easy to explain how it works, I could probably teach my pug to play. Because of the ease of play, it’s a great one to play with kids. There’s very little downtime, and because the main game is co-operative, players are pretty invested in what each other player does on their turn. Certain player characters are stronger against certain monster types for example, so you can talk among yourselves and decide who gets pushed into the monster and has the door slammed behind them. But don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the game. The dungeons can be hard, sometimes almost unbeatable. And because every dungeon is different, it will keep you fighting, looting and dying over and again for many happy hours. A lightweight tile-laying dungeon crawler, that’s plenty of fun and comes with bags of playability. Miniatures for Dungeon and dragons rpg, and painting Even though Bag Of Dungeon has a long shelf-life due to is variety of characters, gameplay and scenarios; it’s nice to have options to do even more customisation. Really enjoy playing the game solo! Played 4 times in a row, finally I was able to defeat the dragon with the help of the bear. When we asked our two teenagers to choose two of our boardgames to take with us on our summer holiday, they were unanimous on taking Bag of Dungeon. As a family of four, we’ve had a lot of fun playing the game. 5/5 on family fun, portability and the high quality components.
