I imagined an all-weather commuter and light-duty tourer, and I think the build reflects this. Of course, there are some flashy bits scattered throughout for flare, but it wouldn’t be challenging to create a comparable build from your parts bin. My take on the Neutrino is based around microSHIFT’s new Advent “Super Short” drivetrain, which is designed specifically for 20” wheels and small hands, fast-rolling 20 x 2.35” Maxxis Grifter tires, a wide and tall Whiskey Milhouse handlebar, and a long-travel dropper post for good measure. I have been wanting to try out a minivelo for a while so was pretty happy when I borrowed a Tufnell for an afternoon to try it out. I saw a few minivelo’s in Taiwan on a brief visit and have been pretty keen on trying one around London ever since. They seem to be a great mix of Brompton models ZT16 and FASTER are not the only awesome scooters which made it to top 10 lists. Apart from it, Veleco also easily claims more spots. Should you get a puncture, they can be fixed at any workshop or gas station, as goods influenced by natural wear and tear are always outside warranty, which is a standard to all existing vehicle warranties worldwide. We do naturally offer servicing, but doing so would be sending a service car up to the customer house. Doing it outside warranty would come with a cost to cover transportation expenses + hourly wage of engineer (Servicing on warranty covers those on our end). As mentioned though, since tyres are always outside warranty, the better, cheaper and faster option would be just to go local in case of tyres at least. A tube can also be inserted into them if needed. The bike generally felt like the other hi-tensile steel bikes I have tried. It was a bit smoother than an aluminium bike, but a little harsher than my chromolly steel bikes. This did not detract from how fun the bike is to ride. It really is seriously smile inducing.

Like 20” kids bikes, the Neutrino sits dangerously close to the ground, and modern 11- and 12-speed derailleurs will either rub on the tire or the ground or both. While running a short-cage road derailleur could work for some applications, I knew I wanted a bigger cassette and realistic climbing gears for riding loaded. Lastly a bit of useful advice for you: It is possible to fill the tyres with special liquid that auto-fixes the puncture. While we don’t do this, it is a good solution should you have doubts about puncturing of tyres.
