About this deal

The overall impression of the cabin is agreeable and inoffensive, with a good ergonomic layout and instruments that are visible and readable – and you can’t say all of that about a Peugeot 2008. Through compressions and across transverse ridges, the car seems to pitch fore and aft more than rivals. A longer gearlever, together with what we’d guess is closer attention paid during the car’s dynamic tuning, gave our Crossland X’s six-speed manual gearbox a slightly lighter, slicker and more pleasant shift feel than we’ve found in PSA models with this engine in the past but it’s a marginal gain only. We and our partners use data for Personalised ads and content, ad and content measurement, audience insights and product development.

The Crossland's interior looks smart at a glance, but while there are some chrome and glossy details, it's mostly covered in scratchy plastics that feel cheap and, in places, notvery sturdy. The fuel consumption achieved, and CO 2 produced, in real world conditions will depend upon a number of factors including, but not limited to: the accessories fitted (pre and post registration); variations in weather; driving styles and vehicle load. However, Vauxhall as a brand sits around the middle of the manufacturer rankings of Warranty Direct’s Reliability Index, and in the 2019 JD Power Vehicle Dependability Study, Vauxhall placed an impressive sixth out of the 24 manufacturers included in the study.

The freshly updated Crossland is a better-looking car than the one that came out in 2017, with Vauxhall’s ‘Vizor’ front-end styling treatment as seen on the smart, all-new Mokka (get used to that new face, because before long all Vauxhalls will look like this). Vehicle information originates from a 3rd party, is subject to change and is shown for guidance only. That's in keeping with the cover from the majority of other manufacturers, but doesn't match the five-year warranties Hyundai and Toyota offer, let alone Kia’s seven-year, 100,000-mile package. The manufacturer may have recently updated the specification or stopped building that exact trim level.

The updated Crossland, now without the ‘X’, is still built on the same platform as the last-gen Peugeot 2008. The new Vauxhall Crossland is a stylish compact crossover with bold new looks thanks to the facelifted front-end featuring the new Vauxhall 'Vizor' design. Design and GS trim have fairly typical 60/40 split-folding rear seats, which allow you to extend the boot space. A premium six-speaker audio system (with a sub-woofer) and wireless phone charging are additional options. The Puma, with its big well under the floor, has more space overall, but you'll easily get a buggy or a couple of medium-sized suitcases in the back of the Crossland. The Crossland X has an averagely sized steering wheel with what we might consider a ‘bog-standard’ three full turns of pace on its rack – and in both respects, it’s a different sort of drive than the Peugeot Peugeot 2008 or its Peugeot 208, both of which are related to the Vauxhall by platform. Upgrading to Business Edition Nav adds a larger eight-inch touchscreen with sat-nav, voice control and a second USB charging connection (SE only has one). While this engine can handle long drives, it is best suited for city driving, as the turbocharged versions offer more power for extended journeys. Storage space is not as generousas it is in the Skoda Kamiq, but you still get plenty of trays and a couple of cupholders. inch colour touchscreen, Bluetooth, DAB radio, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, air-con, cruise control and autonomous emergency braking.
