Yes! We pierce children from the age of 10 upwards. They must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian for the duration of the appointment, and both the child and parent or guardian must bring ID. Please read our FAQs for more information on what to bring to your appointment. Please note we can pierce the following locations on your child's ear:

Never use an ultrasonic cleaner, ammonia or any chemical solution to clean opaque gemstones, such as turquoise, malachite, onyx, lapis lazuli and opals. They are a porous stone and may absorb chemicals, which build up inside the stone and cause discoloration. Simply wipe them gently with a moist cloth until clean. We have a comprehensive programme to test for all trace metals which are potentially harmful. This is conducted by an independent laboratory to ensure they are below the legal standard, however, a very small number of people who are hypersensitive may suffer a reaction. Please inform our Customer Care team if this affects you. To care for your jewelry and keep it clean and ready to wear, gently wipe off excess make-up and skin oils after each wearing. Use a nub free, 100% cotton cloth and gently wipe the piece clean using only the soft pads of your fingers. Store in jeweler’s tissue or a soft bag.To maintain the original condition of your silver jewelry, polish your pieces regularly using a non-abrasive cleaning cloth. When cleaning sterling silver remember that it is a very soft metal and can easily be marred by a fingernail or wadded piece of fabric pushed roughly against the metal surface. For this reason, use one of the following methods to clean heavier soils and tarnish:

Our expert piercers work with single-use, sterile needles for all our piercings. We do not use piercing guns as they cause unnecessary damage to your ear.To keep your permanent jewellery looking its best, use our cleaning kit from time to time to give it some TLC. Gently use a polishing cloth to restore its shine.

We are delighted to be able to offer complimentary engraving on a wide variety of our pieces. Engraving options vary depending on the style of your preferred piece. You can choose from our range of fonts and motifs, or have your own doodles and handwriting engraved. Handle the diamond carefully and store it away from other jewellery to avoid scratching the other pieces, including other diamond jewellery. Keeping the diamond in individual small plastic bags or a fabric-lined case will help reduce damage, wear and a build-up of dirt. Avoid abrasive cleaners, detergents and commercial jewelry cleaners “dips” especially if the pieces have an oxidized finish. Using harsh polishing cleaners will alter the antique look of your jewelry.If you don't have specialist cleaners at home, then do not fear as there are household options to get your silver shining. A bowl of lukewarm water and a few drops of washing-up liquid will help remove tarnishing. To keep your jewellery looking radiant and to remove the build-up of dirt and premature tarnish we recommend using our own Monica Vinader polishing cloth (available on request). Rub the piece in one direction rather than circular motions. We have a discreet piercing studio in both our Mayfair and Covent Garden locations, which will offer a more private experience.
