Old cars make for amazing material for a fantastic makeover. In Car Detailing Simulator, you can buy plenty of old car models just waiting for someone to give them a new life. After all is said and done, don't forget to sell your ‘babies’ at the right price – the classic will always find a buyer.

Glad to see Fast RMX on this list BTW, really nice launch lineup game that deserved to be physical from the start. Its great that Super Rare Games eventually stepped up to the plate yearsa later but I genuinely think had this been on shelves at the time of launch it would have sold a tonne more and be hailed a classic. (the previous Wii U title in the series, Fast Racing NEO was also amazing) Set in the fictional Seacrest, this game offers two unique perspectives. You can play as a cop, battling against the crews of street racers that occupy the state. Alternatively, you can play as one of the street racers and take part in a whole host of missions and races. Like even for PS4/Xbox One I'd put Gravel alongside WRC/Dirt Rally but most people barely even played it.

Playground: A sandbox mode that allows players to go racing, perform stunts, complete challenges, or just cruise around. [5] Gotcha Racing 2nd is a premium example of how less can be more with video game design. This is a simple yet utterly enjoyable racing game with a retro feel to it. There is a reason Wii U I barely bought any racing games than Fast Racing Neo (I'd have bought Project Cars if it wasn't cancelled for Wii U and did release). Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the best games for couples and groups of friends to play together, and it’s one of the best racing titles on the console as well.

Hot Wheels Unleashed is an approachable yet exciting racing game that’s ideal for gamers of all experience levels. The ultimate car game for little car fans and children! Become the boss of your own car wash and clean a variety of different vehicles. Use a variety of fun washing tools and remove the dirt from the cars. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled has clearly been put together with a lot of love and attention to detail. While there are a few issues to contend with like loading times and difficult controls, this is still a gem of a game and something that experienced players are sure to love. Beach Buggy Racing 2 Mantis Burn Racing offers a premium experience for both single players and groups of players, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Team Sonic Racing Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered includes all of the DLC and a single-player experience that's surprisingly deep. Crossing the finish lineYou can play through Super Pixel Racers in career mode or free race mode as a solo player, with challenges dotted throughout each race to put you through your paces. The challenges can include anything from drifting to crashing into other cars. Hot Wheels Unleashed is a great addition to any Nintendo Switch library. The difficulty is easy to change and scale, making it accessible and approachable. It looks great, handles well and has a decent amount of content to play through, too. GRID Autosport The controls do require a little patience at first, especially with the exceptionally long corners that you’ll find in the maps. Once you nail them, though, the gameplay is incredibly satisfying and works well on the console.

Not a single jet ski or others on this list (probably because barely anyone plays them even if some are good) is some there was even on Wii U besides the average racing offers on Wii U. The racing mechanics are smooth and enjoyable, which makes for a lovely user experience. Beach Buggy Racing 2 looks great as well, with the game running in 60FPS most of the time and no notable performance issues. There is a separate achievement list for every racer and every vehicle. Completing all of them will reward you with a gold color scheme for the car, or a new outfit for the character. This isn’t the sort of game that just gives you a new car every time, however. It’s possible to buy a Blind Box and get a duplicate of a car you already have in your collection. In situations like this, you can either sell them or ‘dismantle’ them into gears to upgrade your original one. Out of all of the games on this list, Mantis Burn Racing is one of my favorites. It’s a joy to play through, and matches the console perfectly too.

FAST RMX is a surprisingly small game, and is ideal if your Nintendo Switch is bursting at the seams. That being said, the graphics are beautiful and it runs flawlessly on the console. This game has been made to an impeccably high standard.

The game itself plays very well, with smooth, intuitive controls and a pleasantly modern take on retro aesthetics. It fits the Nintendo Switch console incredibly well. Visually, Virtua Racing is an absolute delight. The polygonal style has been perfected here, and it runs smoother than butter on the Nintendo Switch console. The controls are intuitive and make perfect sense for the console. What’s not to love? Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled If you’re even remotely interested in racing games, you’re bound to have heard of Virtua Racing before. This game arguably set the standard for modern takes on retro racers, and it’s a joy to play through. Each campaign/perspective has plenty of challenges and missions to keep you busy, and you’ll gain notoriety in the form of either a Wanted Level or a Cop Rank. This notoriety level will mean that the game will continue to reward you with new cars to try out and race with. Mario games are almost always polished and well made, and this title is no different. Some areas aren't covered at least 1 rally (Mantis Burn I guess but any top down racer could be here really)/1 watersports games need to be here at least.
