They're a welcome addition to my card collection and I look forward to using them for daily card pulls. While creating the additional cards, I considered how the energy of the new card would work with each of the cards in the existing deck.In the Urban Crow Oracle MJ Cullinane beautifully captures their wise and quirky ways and allows the Crows to be our guides and inspiration with each card drawing on a specific emotion, idea, or lesson. Known one of the most highly intelligent and fascinating creatures, crows have been know to make tools, recognize humans and learn from one another. Regardless of how I use this deck for divination, the crows always have a way of bringing to the surface the message I need at that time. Valdis's Annotated Guidebook for Unfinished Business creates a book within a book, creating a narrative that enriches the stories within the deck and its spirits. It was during those dark days of March 2020 that the inspiration for the deck as a whole, a complete collection of art and animals blossomed within and I knew with certainty (the only thing I knew with certainty during this time) that this deck needed to be created.

When she is not making art or writing, MJ is spending time with her child, playing in nature, practicing magic, and finding new sources of inspiration. In their book, they dive into crow behavior and how these incredibly smart birds behave like humans.With everything going on in the world, creating the Guardian of the Night itself became a tool for healing. It is with the help of these mystical and ever-so-clever crows that we find clarity and new sources of inspiration. Since I received them (indie version) a month ago, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the intriguing Crow Oracle Cards. Crows create bonds, have rules, understand justice ( a little too well for some,) and at times display a sense of humor that other animals lack. I love the simplicity of one word on the card face and the brief but thoughtful card explanations in the book.
