About this deal

I’m honestly not sure why I even bothered finishing this… once I got to the end, I realized that I wished I DNFd it at around the 30-40% when I realized I wasn’t enjoying it… but oh well - I somehow made it to the end. One celebrity diva in trouble. Three overprotective bodyguards determined to keep her safe. As one of the world’s most hated celebrities, I’m used to unwanted attention. But when I wake up one morning to find a mysterious man has broken into my ho... Once you start reading this book you won’t be able to put it down until the end! So make sure you have plenty of time to devote to this story so you won’t end up reading until the wee hours of the morning and having a book hangover like I did! What’s the saying… the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. How about three someones.

Plenty of acts of service and love between the characters (including copious amounts of oral for the FMC) I will say one thing I LOVE about Lily Gold is how she continues the story for a few chapters after the plot. Nothing worse then having just read the plot for it to literally finish right after or a chapter later… plus the epilogues are always great 👏🏼 The author did an amazing job of making these characters multifaceted, complex and very interesting. The emotional growth of each character feels genuine, and definitely had me laughing, crying, sympathizing and giving me all the feels. This was fun! If you're looking for an easy and steamy read and don't mind reverse harem, then I recommend you read this. The overall romance was amazing though, I loved Briar so much for being sassy and unapologetically honest, a little mean, just handling her fame in general.

While I appreciated the bond between the men and how they show their love and support for one and other, it was really hard to see their bond with her with how bratty and over the top she is. I can’t stand that in a FMC in general and even though I loved how she bonded with Glen, that’s just about it. Parts of the story, mostly with how she got close to Matt and Kenta honestly just felt disjointed. The story itself erked me as parts were extremely over the top (like her premiere scene, I nearly stopped reading the book) where others parts were underperformed making me bored and oh so irritated 🥴 The characters first meeting then just set the tone for the rest of the novel. Briar was unapologetic in her demands and confidence, while still being human and caring in her emotions. There was such an interesting balance between her “bitchiness” being an act, and it just being a part of her personality. Not to mention, while she does have some moments of reflection and personal growth, her core personality remains throughout the story. On top of that, we don’t get on. They think I’m a demanding diva. I think they’re overdramatic. When a trip to America sends the guys’ protective instincts into overdrive, the sizzling tension between us finally breaks, and I learn my bodyguards’ biggest secret: they want me.I have an especially strong love-hate relationship with reverse harem. It’s my favourite genre, but it is especially riddled with shitty MMCs and horribly bullied FMCs. On top of that, we don’t get on. They think I’m a demanding diva. I think they’re overdramatic. When a trip to America sends the guys’ protective instincts into overdrive, the sizzling tension between us finally breaks, and I learn my bodyguards’ butterfly-inducing secret: they want me. I highly recommend this book if you want a thoroughly entertaining and romantic book with some intrigue thrown in. It is a RH (no MM) with ultra spicy scenes. I swear sapphic authors can write the spice 🥵🥵. This book just wasn’t enjoyable to me because I spent so much of it being uncomfortable. With the heroine, the guys, the plot, everything. I didn’t connect to anyone or anything. The plot was interesting and different from her other books. We actually get a few chapters from ‘X’, Briar’s stalker, and it added to the creep factor for sure.
