Although he speaks quietly, Machinedramon is as ruthless and insane as Piedmon or Puppetmon. He is also the second biggest Dark Master among the group, MetalSeadramon being the biggest. He is a monstrous sadist who loves to destroy, and of all the Dark Masters employed the most brutal, offensive approach by dispatching the forces of the metal empire to eliminate the Digidestined. He is probably the most intelligent of the Dark Masters, as demonstrated by his tactic of using Izzy's computer. However he is not above mindless destruction, and will murder anyone with no remorse whatsoever. His destruction of all the Numemon makes him the most prolific murderer of the Dark Masters. Out of all the other Dark Masters, Machinedramon is the only Digimon separate from the other Dark Masters that reappeared in the 2020 reboot of Digimon Adventure. For languages other than Japanese, machine translation is used, so there may be incorrect translations. He is a Virus type Mega Level Digimon that is hypothesized to be the ultimate "Dramon" and Cyber Digimon in general. This is because it posseses parts of other ones, namely Megadramon, MetalTyrannomon, MetalMamemon, MetalGreymon and Andromon. It has appeared as an antagonist on several occasions in different Digimon media.

Shademon (as Shademon (Nene Ver.)) Force DigiXrossed several captured Digimon (including a Metal Tyranomon and a Megadramon) into a Mugendramon in " Xros Revolution!! The Guide to Miracles". She then DigiXrossed it with a Chimairamon to form Millenniumon. Millenniummon is the combination of Kimeramon and Machinedramon. Millenniummon retains most Kimeramon's chimeric Digimon parts, albeit with a darker color scheme. Its wings and tail are replaced by Machinedramon's aura, which visibly retains its Psycho Blasters. A wild Andromon maintains Factorial Town and is oblivious to a Giromon saboteur, who is ruining the network. Once Mameo defeats Giromon, Andromon apologizes and begins retrieving the sabotaged data. It occasionally appears in File City and compliments the look of it.

In the D-Power Digivice Version 3.0, Mugendramon appears as a random encounter enemy Digimon in Map 5, Area 10 and Map 6, Area 13. Chaosdramon [60] [36] [39] [38] [21] (with or without Dukemon and Ancient Volcamon [26] or Hi Andromon [56] or Darkdramon) [51] MetalSeadramon rules the Net Ocean [ citation needed] and presides over the " Deep Savers", an aquatic army including Scorpiomon and four Divermon. He is very arrogant and short-tempered, easily losing his temper when his enemies get the best of him. MetalSeadramon prefers to kill his foes, rather than make sport of them, and unlike the other Dark Masters, who enjoy executing their minions for its own sake, MetalSeadramon only executes his henchman when they fail him. Megadramon digivolves from Airdramon, Birdramon, Greymon, and Seadramon, and can digivolve to Darkdramon. If the waste gauge fills to the maximum, it will digivolve to Sukamon. While Puppetmon attempted to get revenge on the DigiDestined for his playroom being destroyed with a trio of Garbagemon, Cherrymon managed to use the memories of Matt to convince the boy to turn on the others, particularly Tai. Cherrymon told Puppetmon that he had succeeded in getting Matt to distrust Tai and would soon cause WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon to engage in mortal combat. Cherrymon cautioned against Puppetmon's eagerness to watch, warning the Dark Master that the DigiDestined possessed something special, but the emasculated Puppetmon murdered his ally out of pride.
