About this deal

Looking for alternative methods since i heard everything apple updates it's IOS, Tune2Air functionality is lost. I also tried it on both VMware Workstation and VirtualBox with their virtual USB support and it would detect the device but the update would fail.

Display song names on the OEM headunit– having song or artist on the OEMdisplays is a big plus as it makes the install look much slickerand it can be helpful if skipping through long Spotify playlists! Overall it works well, and is a great workaround to Audi being behind on Bluetooth audio in "luxury" vehicles. I mainly use it for streaming Spotify, and it's worked really well so far–at least well enough that I consider the problem solved.

That smells like something that could go wrong in future – I prefer to use the services own apps where I can! Another feature I looked for was compatability with music streaming services– I use Spotifyalmost exclusively for music so it was essential anyretrofit kit would be compatible with it. I'm on a Mac, but I was able to successfully update the firmware from a VMware Fusion Windows 7 virtual machine. WMA3000 Wireless Bluetooth Music Adaptor for Audi Music Interface port, Mercedes Media Interface port and VW’s Original iPod Integration. Your car may have a slightly different plug and location, but conceptually the directions are the same regardless.

For a music player I had to purchase the Tune2Air Adapter, which is has always been a little quirky but does the job. I think it started with the most recently Spotify update, so Spotify is likely the real problem here, but it has me re-evaluating my Bluetooth setup. But with streaming music apps like Spotify, Pandora, Sirius, iHeartRadio, it sounds great but the track names are usually wrong or blank.Anyone with the update been able to skip songs on spotify/pandora with the physical buttons on the main car console? Appart from replacing the whole head unit (which I find tempting), is there any way to easily add Bluetooth audio streaming to my symphony head unit? It's annoying that there are times where I do NOT want to listen to music BUT still want to listen to sound coming out from my phone.
