The Star Wars™ x Barbie® Collection from Mattel Adds Four New

The Star Wars x Barbie® Rey Doll wears a crystal pleated chiffon gown with a crossover neckline and draped hood, inspired by Rey’s gauzy crosspiece. The Darth Vader Barbie successfully replicates the foreboding image of the iconic villain in a dramatic head-to-toe shiny-black ensemble that includes the emblematic full-length cape. The Barbies take on six main characters spanning from the original films to the more recent releases: R2-D2, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, C-3P0, the Stormtrooper, and Rey. It’s a toy line that goes all the way back to World War II, so if you’ve got extended family in the house right now this would be a great place to start. Each doll will arrive in special designed packaging, which includes a Certificate of Authenticity and a Star Wars™-themed doll stand for collectors who like to display their dolls out of the box. This year’s Star Wars Day celebration sees an unexpected collaboration with Mattel’s Barbie line of iconic dolls. There are amazing shoe designs, great accessories and jewelry that would be at home in a runway show or a high fashion editorial photo shoot. Her outfit – a futuristic white ensemble with puffy sleeves – is a fashionable take on the Stormtroopers’ uniform. The doll wears a dome skirt, bomber jacket, and thigh-high boots, along with a vibrant blue ponytail, "radar eye detail", and a clutch painted in C-3PO gold.
