About this deal

Our Dream i-Size and Simplicity Plus infant carriers do, however, offer this option and are compatible with Silver Cross prams and strollers.

The Simplicity Plus is outgrown when the baby reaches 13kg or the top of their head is level with the top of the child seat shell. It fitted both our six-month-old and three-year-old testers well and did a good job of keeping them safely locked in place even while they took turns snoozing on a sedate country walk. It’s much bigger and weightier than the Silver Cross and, although it’s nowhere near as elegant, its chunky three-wheeled design and sturdy build allow it to tackle far rougher terrain – and it’s superb value, too. The Silver Cross Clic promises benefits such as a simple, one-second fold, fully reclinable seat and one-touch brake system and is marketed as suitable from birth to 22kg (approximately 4 years of age). With an integrated pull-out shoulder strap, Clic’s also easy to carry when your little one’s ready to get out and explore. The Clic comes with a 5-point safety harness which is fab, and definitely makes babies more secure, but can be a little fiddly when they’re having a good wriggle or screaming the place down.

At 5ft 10in, I missed the adjustable handlebars of my everyday pram and felt that I was sometimes slightly stooped over the stroller when walking. I found the Silver Cross Clic incredibly easy to fold and unfold, and even better, I could do it one-handed - a big bonus if you have more than one child. The adaptors fit at the bottom of the chassis and allow you to attach the tandem seat in the lower position, as well as the pushchair seat or carrycot at the top. On an average day at the pool, we managed to fit my daughter's swimming things, a change of nappies, her towel and a change of clothes, but that was about it. With its cabin-approved, compact design it’s super easy to transport – and perfect for sunshine travel. Once raised, the hood easily stayed in position and was a godsend on sunny days to keep the sun out of her eyes.

This was fine for short distances but could become a real issue for anyone substantially over 6ft tall. Featuring a simple, one-second fold, built-in shoulder strap and one-hand reclinable seat, Clic is perfect for parents and babies.

I love knowing that the stroller will grow with my daughter and I can see us getting great use of it up until she’s a toddler. The Silver Cross Clic is a lightweight stroller that accommodates little ones from birth all the way through to a not-so-little 22kg. A seriously lightweight, compact stroller that folds and unfolds in seconds, adjusts as your baby grows and is an absolute dream for holidays. Remove the head hugger section first, followed by the side wings and lastly the main body of the insert. Clic comes in a choice of 5 colourways, all with sustainable jersey fabrics, and has an integrated pop-out shoulder strap so it can be carried if your little one wants to get out and walk or when not in use.

Occasionally, I did find the side safety catch gets caught, which you need to manually unlatch before it will come together. the Clic is light enough to carry around easily and the integrated shoulder strap – which pops out of the seat flap – is ingenious.Like many of you, we had a thought-provoking year, watching the world change before us during the pandemic. My experience was similar to that of fellow MFM tester Abi, who felt it performed well on most surfaces but “let itself down when being pushed on grass.
