Perhaps it's due to our soft water here in Scotland, but I come across loads of old systems with water as clean as Nun's knickers. Sentinel Deposit Remover is a mildly acidic formula designed to dissolve obstinate magnetite and scale deposits.The kind of debris and the amount of it will depend on the type of system, its age, and how well it has been maintained previously. Connections are always an issue though, you have to work out where the water can go -( like throug hthe HW cylinder coil if you have a 3 port valve) that you don't want it to. I have a gravity fed system, the cylinder is a coil type double feed indirect (Dublotank 100), does this mean I cannot use DS40 with my CH system?

Then I noticed on the Fernex web site (they are only selling the powder version) that DS40 cannot be used with single feed indirect cylinders, e.I have just dosed the system with Sentinel X800 Jetflo and I was wondering how long I can leave this in the system. I am also planning on cleaning the magnaclean filter, could this also be part of the root cause to my issue?

X400 somehow seems to lose the power to keep dirt in suspension if left much more than about five weeks. e. 2 litres of Sentinel X800 Jetflo in a typical system, though the product will not clear a completely blocked pipe.
