About this deal

It’s been a year now since we reviewed the Micron C200, which was (and still is) the second 1TB microSDXC memory card to go on sale. Previously, the range has consisted of cards ranging from 64GB to 512GB, but that's all about to change thanks to a couple of new designs headed our way soon. As we get older, our homes become more cluttered with items, and our devices become filled with files and memories. Reduced Capacity: Another very common issue, where the card will report large capacity to your computer, camera or storage device, when in reality it contains only a very small part of the overall capacity.

This high-performance microSD™ card handles 4K UHD video recording, Full HD video 2, and high-resolution photos. Some manufacturers will include specific watermarks and other markings to differentiate their genuine products.Like the Micron C200, the only other 1TB microSD card currently on the market, the Sandisk Extreme is likely to use the company’s 96-layer 3D QLC (quad-level cell) NAND technology. That’s why they take extra measures to only purchase products directly from manufacturers and they never allow anyone to resell their products on their online platforms. With SanDisk® QuickFlow™ Technology 10 (64GB - 1TB), this card optimizes performance for timesaving media offloads with quick read speeds up to 190MB/s.

microSD card reader so you can move big files fast, move a lot of files fast or just make frequent file transfers that much quicker. Dashcam users may want to consider a memory card with higher endurance like the SanDisk MAX Endurance series which promises to last up to 120,000 hours of recording. The same holds for laptop users (Windows, Chromebooks or MacBooks) that want an easy and cheap way to increase the internal, local storage capacity without resorting to swapping the solid state drive (and resorting to the dreaded process of disk cloning). Until one fully tests the card over its “real” capacity, it is impossible to tell how much of that 2 TB is actually usable! While there’s no software on the card itself, Sandisk recommends that you download its Memory Zone app which, the blurb says, will help you organize “your content and free up space on your phone”.

For those looking for an even faster microSDXC card, there’s the Sandisk 1TB Extreme Pro microSDXC card; it is far more expensive but almost doubles the read speeds to 170MBps and is fast enough to record in 8K or for your action camera. Find the best option for your digital camera with our recommendations for the best 1TB MicroSD cards. While such fake cards are unfortunate to come by, they rarely result in data loss and often get used continuously, without the owner even knowing about it. The problem with fake memory cards is that they either completely misrepresent their true capabilities, or contain much less storage than advertised, which can result in storage failures with unrecoverable data. These are fun but the mark up to have a tiny logo printed on something you never look at is waaay to much.
