About this deal

I can only say that: I loved Morgan’s strength and standing for her daughter to save her from emotional turmoil even it makes her look like an unlikable mother. These survival mechanisms are put to the test when Morgan grapples with the sudden introduction of Jonah back into her life after many years apart, as well as the revelation of an affair between her deceased husband and sister. While they fight their mutual attraction, their hope that “maybe someday” they can be together playfully comes out in their music. However, although this is not one of the best of CoHo’s books, it’s still in the mediocre list when compared to other books and I still recommend it because even if there is something in the book that bothered you, trust me, you’d still enjoy it because of her writing that makes the book so addicting and unputdownable. And Clara’s smartness, toughness, maturity to face the depressing ( at some parts she pissed me off and completely lost her control which made me sad for Miles but she was still likable and better character from most of the YA characters I’ve read lately) situations earned her several brownie points which I wanted to share her but I already ate them.

A close friend recommended the book and I was absolutely floored by how emotional and gripping this book was. If the bestseller charts of 2022 have anything to say about it, just about every reader loves Colleen Hoover books! But she secretly got along much better with Chris’ thoughtful best friend, Jonah, who was dating her sister, Jenny. I love the mother-daughter message that Hoover is writing about in this novel, but the romance for me was just not there. When Lily feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true. Not OTT as man other YA love stories, just genuine and fitting for a teenagers first go at a relationship. I don’t know what others think but it’s sort of repetitive and predictable to me that I can predict what would happen next in the story and when the supposed-to-be twists actually occurred, I didn’t even surprise. I’m content with the direction in which my life is headed, and I know if I obsess over the past, that obsession will only serve to anchor me in a place I am more than ready to move on from. As much as Layken relishes their new life together, she finds herself wanting to know everything there is to know about her husband, even though Will makes it clear he prefers to keep the painful memories of the past where they belong. You always get a mixture of humor, love and loss with CoHo books and this did not fail to go above and beyond that.

I absolutely loved this and my adoration of how this woman can take a story and make a masterpiece never fails to leave me stunned. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date. It introduces us to four characters Morgan, Chris, Jenny (Morgan's sister) and Jonah (Chris's) best friend. I also believe this book is a wonderful introduction into the unique style of writing of Colleen Hoover. I’m fighting some sort of cold/flu thing and my sleep patterns are all messed up, so I read Regretting You in a few hours the other night and early into the morning. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year.
