About this deal

You can easily get away doing regular typing tasks on Bluetooth, although I suggest switching to either wired or using the 2. The keycaps are high-quality PBT plastic, as seen on the best keyboards (and withheld from some of the stingier designs… Razer).

Although I loved the switches which came with this keyboard, it is also fully hot-swappable so you can customize the typing feel you desire for each key. Obviously I have personally reviewed several high-end gaming keyboards with a volume dial/knob, but I wanted something smaller.

Remapping is a painfully slow process, so it’s a good thing that most people won’t need much beyond the 75% layout. While I have only looked at it for less than a day, I must say that the softness of the warm white of the Keydous NJ80 is growing on me. He's been reviewing gaming peripherals for almost a decade and has reviewed hundreds of mice, keyboards, controllers and other gaming peripherals.

Overall, all of that added a few bucks here and there, but then again, I really deserve a new keyboard, because I have been using the same keyboard for almost 5 years now. I also opted for the pre-lubed Gateron Pro Yellow switches, which should be better than manually lubing them myself. There’s still a bit of Chinese text floating around, but it seems to have successfully detected the English system setting in Windows, so at least it’s fairly obvious where to go.

Fn+Up/Down arrow keys change the brightness of the lighting, and the Left/Right arrow keys change the speed of the lighting effect.

The metal plating, combined with really nice pre-lubed switches makes typing on the Keydous NJ80 a super satisfying experience. There’s also Fn+L to open the web browser, Fn+C to open This PC, and Fn+P gives you the Printscreen functionality. Keydous claims the NJ80’s 4800mAh battery offers up to 28 hours of battery life with RGB on, and up to 90 hours with the RGB lighting off.And if you know me even better, you would know that I have been seeking for a mechanical keyboard with a volume dial for quite some time. If you really fancy your RGB, you might want to go with the steel plate option, which is painted in white.

this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The polling rate is not mentioned but I don’t think you will actually run into any issues with the polling rate on a keyboard, unlike a mouse where a low polling rate will result in less-than-ideal tracking of your movements. When it comes to MMOs she focuses on WoW and GW2 but will pick-up other games as they catch her fancy. I greatly appreciated the simplicity as it meant I didn’t have to constantly refer to the user manual to remember how to make adjustments or change modes. The PCB is south-facing as well, which opens up the avenue to use Cherry profile keycaps without worrying about interference.I decided to reward myself with a brass plate, which you don’t always get with most mainstream keyboards.
