In July 2021, Katona was selected to join the newly formed Hospitality Council, a team of leading industry experts assembled to deliver the government’s Hospitality Strategy. Liverpudlian child-protection barrister, Nisha Katona, opened the first Mowgli Street Food in Liverpool in 2014.

This is a twist on my Mowgli Lamb Keema (the original recipe of which can be found in Mowgli Street Food), swapping in veggie mince and serving it as the classic Indian street food known as keema pav. This opening chapter is packed with traditional Indian fare; bhel puri, onion bhajis but equally so many are uniquely Mowgli recipes, the treacle tamarind fries and the chip butty are great examples of Nisha’s own tastes bringing a new twist.
