About this deal

His routine as published made sense, it built, it had the funny sequence with the messed up drawings, then the logical conclusion with the pictures coloured in. I tried removing the binding staples and adding full sheets, but everything gets all muddled, as you can imagine. This way, before people have the chance to start asking about seeing the book, you tell them something along the lines of “and if you liked that trick, then you’ll love this trick! Then I vanish the crayons and toss them "invisibly" to the audience so they can wave them in the air and color in the book. However, in today’s magic review I’m going to try and explain just what it is about this simple looking trick that makes it such a personal favorite of mine.

I've done the coloring book routine so many times and it just doesn't get any better than having the kids erase their own scribbles, then begin erasing their good coloring. If you want to, you could even say at one point “Now make sure you get a good look; the drawings are really gone, aren’t they? Once you have finished the trick, give it a moment or two for your audience to react, and then quickly pull out your next effect, putting the coloring book away as you do so.That way, if no one asks to see it, you’re fine, and if people do ask to see it, you can simply pull out your extra copy of the Magic Coloring Book full of blank pages and pass it around. This method only works if you have a couple of effects handy, but it is a good way of steering clear of pressure around the coloring book. I'd love to figure out a way to gimmick the Collosal coloring book so I at least have the OPTION to do either routine.

But I don’t have an imminent plans on going to Florida, and I wondered if you know where I could find something like that. I understand Frankieacemagic's question, and I understand his liking for the blank pages kicker at the end of the Silly Billy routine, but I find that just getting the pages back to the black and white line drawings is very effective and I don't think it suffers much from not going blank. The Magic Coloring Book is often advertised as a magic trick for kids; but I think it work just as well on adults in the hands of a capable magician! Ths is sme col magical trick which can be implemented by anyone who is consistent and determined enough to work for it.I've seen them for sale in the past but I don't know if they still make them, but you can make them yourself - I do. Something like the Insurance Policy with Nursery Rhymes since kids that age might not know their playing cards. Naturally, you will have people ask to see the book, so I would suggest a couple of methods for avoiding being caught out. I thought I could do this, add blank pages and a 4th tab for those pages to end the routine, but wow, have I rediscovered the limitations of my brain Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?
