A highly creative record which pitchfork described as consisting of "wistful soul and warm funk", through his exploration of heartbreak and his own mental health issues. If anyone has any recs or tips for storing this though, not being able to put an outer sleeve on for how big this is worries me for wearing and tear and such.

However this is a reissue by Urban Outfitters which is known to be released sometime in 2020, exact date unknown. A routinely great artist, much of Sufjan's universal appeal comes from his skills as a gifted narrator, pairing personal musings on love and devotion with commentary on American culture, whilst welding folk and electronica, the ambient and existential. An honest LP from an MC well in the know that he was transcending realities, all while attempting to let go of the baggage on this damn planet. I mean, I have no complaints aside from a handful of short instances where Mac's performance falls prey to some odd, static-laden bouts of distortion akin to a dodgy radio signal. I wasn't planning on grabbing this since I'm happy enough with my copy of Swimming, but it just doesn't sit right with me how labels and artists are seemingly taking advantage of fans. Self Care" is one of the realest hip hop singles that I have ever heard, or maybe that's because I am getting out of a relationship right now.All the production nuances are laid bare and the outstanding bass production on this record sounds great on this pressing too.
