About this deal

If the building process of a Lego Star Wars helmet is most important to you, we’d recommend checking out the Princess Leia (Boushh) Helmet - one of the most unique helmets in the range. Using the small screws to secure the panels is the ideal solution - makes the case secure unlike other cases which just clip together and can easily fall apart as soon as you pick them up. The detailing across the underside is therefore paramount because that remains exposed from the rear.

From a display point of view this is a positive, but it does make the latter stages of the build slightly trickier, as adding parts to a helmet on a hinge can be a little fiddly at times – especially considering some of the smaller 1×2elements are only attached to one stud hanging off the underside, which can easily be knocked off. Bright red eyes are among the Dark Troopers' most distinguishing features, so recreating those was important. It’s unfortunate that, since the entire helmet is black, you can’t easily see the shape and curvature of the helmet unless you’re up close, because there really is a lot of excellent detail here. These Imperial forces are some of the most fearsome looking in the entire Star Wars universe and when it’s built, this Lego helmet captures it perfectly. This build-and-display model makes a great treat for yourself or a gift for other adult LEGO Star Wars fans and experienced LEGO builders, and comes with clear instructions to guide you through every step of the fun, creative building experience. The trooper’s menacing red eyes (1×4 trans-red tiles) and striking angular facial details (achieved using a combination of 1×1 and 1×2 slopes) are built on a very involved inner core, which is surrounded by studs on every side. Furthermore, the flared cheek structure looks brilliant, further corresponding with the droids introduced during The Mandalorian season two. Are you impressed with the latest Helmet Collection models and which characters would you like to see next? An angular mouthpiece and side panels are held on by joints, allowing them to be positioned and shaped accordingly.

Those who are enticed by the dark side can show their loyalty to the Imperial Remnant with the LEGO Star Wars Dark Trooper helmet. Dark Trooper Helmet is a fairly involved build, with a number of intricate sub-assemblies to construct. This Lego Star Wars Dark Trooper Helmet certainly looks the part: its menacing red eyes and angular shape is every bit as terrifying as a Dark Trooper should be.

In my opinion, Luke’s is the best of the bunch but I was positive that I wouldn’t like it when it was rumoured (p. While the Dark Trooper may not be as instantly recognisable to casual fans as some of the more well-known characters from a galaxy far, far away, 75343 Dark Trooper Helmet still has enough to offer to make it a worthy set to add to a collection. I think the relatively muted trans-red colour is responsible for giving that impression because it becomes very dark towards the corners, as you mentioned.Compared to other helmets in the sub theme, it’s a much more involved and intricate process, so a high level of concentration is required – but it pays off, as there are some really interesting and unusual sub-assemblies that make up the detailing. But the sea of black pieces means it’s not the most exciting build, and it’s let down a bit by the use of stickers. The head looks squashed and the features just don’t look that accurate, but as we all know, sometimes box art can be deceiving – and this set turns out to be a prime example of that quirk. Dark Trooper Helmet portrays a droid, so differences between this model and previous examples from the Helmet Collection should be expected.

Having said all that I'm glad Lego make these sorts of display pieces because, although these specific ones don't appeal to me, they obviously makes other people happy. There are 693 pieces included in 75343 Dark Trooper Helmet, making it the third-largest LEGO Star Wars helmet to date. Evil red eyes, constructed using translucent red LEGO elements, and the slight forward tilt of the helmet on its brick-built stand deliver an authentic menacing look.Unusually, the build beginsby constructing the Dark Trooper’s face, a first for the LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection. The build is highly entertaining, with enough unique techniques that even seasoned helmet builders will be surprised. Enjoy mindful quality time recreating the distinctive contours of the helmet as seen in Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2.
