About this deal

They would sometimes start playing again when out of our ears, which could be down to us catching the touch controls as they are near the top of the stems and the place where you tend to hold them most. On the outside of the buds you’ll find some touch controls, which work using single, double- and triple taps, along with holding, to offer access to a range of features. Sony's newest wireless earbuds come in cheaper than the WF-1000XM5 that top this list but still manage to offer great sound quality, ANC and impressive levels of comfort for the money. We were lucky to find a combination of tips and stabilizers that worked straight out of the box, but it pays to play around to get something that’s well matched for a range of exercises.

That’s not to say it’s overpowering though; the balance is just right as to not overtake the prominent mids or detailed highs, which stand out in their own right. There are multiple ways in which a connection can end up becoming interrupted or result in an unsuccessful pairing. There is also a “TalkThru” feature that turns down the volume of your music so you can hear someone talking to you. The Reflect Flow Pro provides up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge, allowing for extended listening sessions.

It features a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 110 mAh, ensuring a long-lasting listening experience. Okay, they’re not exactly subtle with it, but there’s a good level of detail to those bass notes, and, to be fair, throughout the rest of the frequency range. When the buds aren’t in use, they sit in the charging case, which is a pocket-friendly size, but still a little on the bulky design means they’re not going to sit the most naturally in a pocket.

As the song progresses, the bass drum is dutifully relayed while bowed strings are lovingly captured through the midrange, with no notable muddying in terms of the relative space between instruments – even as the mix intensifies.

JBL claims these earbuds have a battery life of 10 hours with noise canceling off, and 8 hours with noise canceling on. We'll also start with a full charge and see how accurate battery life claims are and just how it's drained during day-to-day use. They manage 10 hours of run time, and a further 20 from the case, making for a grand total of 30 hours. JBL’s adaptive Active Noise Cancellation is the big new addition here and, on the whole, it does a solid job.
