About this deal

Kim Rok Soo looks at a Cale Henituse that is most likely his past self, and resists the urge to bury his head into his hand and scream. But thank goodness, now that I’ve finished and actually went back and read the blurb I realize it spells out a whole lot, right up front, so it’s no secret going in, what exactly, you’re heading into. Don’t just try to be happy when you think of me--be happy…Carry me inside you as a light…watching them destroy the life I had is worse. Overall, In an Instant will make you think, it will make you cry, and it will resonate with you long after the final page. I worried once I realized what was going on… that I had already just screamed it from the rooftops too fast AND I know some of my fellow readers aren’t into certain twists.

no one was injured, but it triggered memories of when my dad and i were in a car accident, and i just didn’t get off to a good start. out of guilt, fear, cowardice, or strength and how these choices affect their lives after the accident. Redfearn deftly pivots from character to character in this multiple-points-of-view narrative, unraveling the past and weaving together a new future for the family. Ann walks out to find help, accompanied by Kyle, leaving her dead daughter and badly injured husband and her son Oz behind. The aftermath offers a truly unique perspective, as Finn is able to float between scenarios and people. Putting aside Choi Han's and Alberu's weird reaction to him, it seems that side A really is from a changed world. Cale Henituse, dressed in clothes as black as death, soaked in his own blood, continues to vomit even more blood as he twitches in Choi Han's arms.

In an Instant by Suzanne Redfearn Summary - Apple Books

He barely knows what is going on either, but the fact that the whole Henituse family is involved doesn't sit right with him. Because right before that, I made a deal with the God of Death, regressed to when I was 18, and transmigrated to another world. This is a story of a family who is involved in a tragic car accident on the way to their skiing holiday.

This book is something so intense, raw and realistic that crushes your soul more than three times a regular poignant story can manage. Cale should have killed that fucker off and been done with it, in Kim Rok Soo's totally not biased opinion. Frustrated (and slightly scared but not going to admit it), Cale* swings the bottle in his hand violently. There is one character’s choices that had me imagining a variety of the most painful and unpleasant ways they could not so dearly depart us. In this scenario, the ones who "get over it" quickly are the healthy ones and those who can't are seen as wallowing in self-pity.

If we go by this book, the answer is likely not as selfless and noble as we’d like to think we’d be. The accident and the way everyone tried to survive being stranded in a terrible snow storm had me at the edge of the seat. In that instance, an ineffective information policy led to confusion and differing interpretations among all stakeholders, and even within the Commission itself. Oddly enough, I recently posted a question asking my fellow bibliophiles if they'd rather read a book which makes them laugh, or one which makes them cry. Could you put another child's welfare above your own child, in an event where every action could mean life or death, losing or keeping a digit or a limb?I read this book in two days and had a hard time falling asleep that first night because my thoughts were still with all of the beleaguered characters in this novel. Because emotionally wrecking your readers requires an author to have some crazy, mad writing skills.
