This meant nothing short of creating a new standard-bearer for G-SHOCK, re-envisioned from the vantage point of the brand’s beginnings, now some 30 years after the AW-500’s debut. In addition, the module has been made thinner by optimising the board configuration and mounting at high density. The idea of the hollow structure is applied with modern technology to create a shock-resistant structure with a metal exterior.
Underneath the hood, the GA-2100 has more than enough invested in engineering to match its good looks. With a push of a button, hands are moving and permit a free visibility of functions like stopwatch or date. A round hairline finish is applied to the top surface and a mirror polish to the sides, giving the bezel a beautiful gleam.
