About this deal
This is a very helpful book and it's interesting to hear her thoughts on so many different topics, although some topics were not relevant to me personally.
My Beauty Favourites: Sali Hughes | SheerLuxe
That's why, when I created my skincare line Sali Hughes x Revolution, I wanted to give them something straightforward: here are the ingredients you need in your skincare, and here is what to use and when. Generally, people don’t change in their money outlook without a brutal lesson, so talk about it early on to save a huge amount of conflict later.Cream Drench has all the good stuff – squalane, niacinamide, ceramides, glycerin, shea butter – and it’s cushiony, velvety, and leaves skin looking dewy. I’m a practical person by nature and if people are looking for some kind of release in a friendly, useful book then hopefully I can help with that,’ says Hughes, an acclaimed journalist and columnist from Brighton whose social media followers and friends regularly bombard her with questions. I use it to apply primer, foundation, bronzer, blush – anything liquid or cream looks better when it goes on with this, and it washes like a dream too.

I didn’t feel in the safe hands of a knowledgeable friend - as I think was the intention - but in the hands of someone with very rigid opinions and rather limited life experience. It’s extremely natural looking and gives you a lovely golden glow no matter your skin tone, plus it’s hydrating and plumping. I find powder is so underrated – it’s all about using it only where you need it and allowing the cheeks to glow through. after listening to all of Sali's other books that are mainly about beauty and beauty products, and loving them, I was very excited to see the release of this book.
Fashion is a subjective section, I think if you like Sali's style posts on IG you may enjoy this chapter. I do walk a lot, and that's important for my head and my body, but I'm not an exerciser and I’m not very engaged with wellness! A lot of the guides needed beefing up - helping grieving friends needs more than a few paragraphs and the lists of what you need in a kitchen/etc. The myriad of topics in this book is just fabulous - something for everyone and the tales she tells of family estrangement, being a night owl, maintenance sex and fiercely protecting her kids all strike a personal chord with me.
From freezing bananas to off-season clothes, money-saving
It’s an extremely sheer skin booster that looks great on its own on those ‘no make-up’ days, or as a priming undercoat for foundation.
My favourite is by Authored – the shades are appropriately cool-toned, and it thickens and holds without any flaking. After finishing this book I am not sure what exactly it is meant to be - an interior design manual, a cookbook, a style and fashion guide. I think if you're a fan of Sali Hughes than it makes sense to read as it's her chatting away and giving you advice. But this book gets even worse as the author dispenses "advice" on abortions , breastfeeding and depression which is inappropriate and she is totally unqualified to do so.
