About this deal

The metal was cool against her fingers as she plucked them out one by one, refusing to meet the Window’s eyes. This had never stopped Satoru before, but when it came to Mikazuki, things had always been slightly different, if not completely divergent.

Satoru remained leaning against the desk, eyes wandering across the classroom in a lazy way while Mikazuki stayed glued to the blackboard, the faded chalk notes suddenly becoming the most interesting thing in the world. Nahri, found herself living by her wits in nineteenth century Cairo, a place facing it’s own troubles due to wars and changing occupation, to the wonderous city of Daevabad, as a Banu Nahri, a descendant of the origional rulers. Ali fights his way through using his new water powers, and eventually bumps into Vizaresh, the ifrit from Cairo, and Dara. It wasn’t the Banu Nahida who’d driven the peris to their knees, it was the con artist of Cairo, and Nahri wouldn’t cast her away. Throughout the novel, we see the ways in which the past, both recent and distant, is something of a prison for the characters.Thank you for supporting the top site for book series recaps, and we hope you continue to find it a useful resource! After a brutal conquest stripped the city of its magic, Nahid leader Banu Manizheh and her resurrected commander, Dara, must try to repair their fraying alliance and stabilize a fractious, warring people. I am fairly new to this genre and highly recommend this trilogy if you are looking to dip your toe into the fantasy genre, or if you are a seasoned fantasy reader but haven’t read these books yet. Some imperfections exist admittedly; early episodes are strewn with time skips and somewhat confusing cinematographic cuts.

Empire of Gold (TV Series 2013) - IMDb

A power struggle between three people in one chaebol empire for 20 years from the turbulent era of Korean finance in the early 1990s to 2010s. The Window ignored it, stepping towards the metal table at the centre of the room where Keisuke’s body had been laid to rest. Satoru had grown used to this, his absentee family becoming quite unimportant when it came to the grand scheme of things. One of the paramedics was speaking to him, but whatever was being said got lost within the sound of the pounding rain and the faraway sirens. There were only a handful of other students in his year and they were all far more quiet and less troublesome than he was, the likelihood that they’d end up in detention beside him was preposterous.Kinzoku Mikazuki is the strongest jujutsu sorceress in the world, or she would be had she not been exiled by her clan ten years ago. Asahi took a deep breath, hand lingering over his wife’s shoulder, as if debating whether touching her at the moment was a wise course of action.

This drama was a weekly dose set to satisfy my hunger for sharp screenwriting, cliché-free storyline, intense events, dazzling characterization and top-notch acting. All the memories were jumbled, too many bodies and faces, mixing together in a sick and twisted reminiscence. The Window shook his head, descending the stairs and stumbling into the dimly lit hallway that ran underneath the great hall. Satoru smiled at the memory, the gesture earning him a bunch of displeased stares from both the bystanders and the medics. Additionally, of the three Daevabad novels, Empire of Gold is the one that has what most feels like a love triangle, even though Nahri and Dara don’t spend much of its pages anywhere near one another. This same occurrence also happened to anger and displease the elders of the Gojo clan along with his own grandmother, the matriarch of the family, not that he ever got to talk to her for more than five minutes. I do not believe ambitious men who say the only route to peace and prosperity lies in giving them more power—particularly when they do it with lands and people who are not theirs.

Satoru wanted to scoff at her, to tell her that if she was so worried about it, then she shouldn’t have enrolled in the school in the first place nor agreed to his grandmother’s preposterous marriage alliance. Keisuke was the kind of man who would have lied about that, so Satoru was already preparing himself as he stepped into the tent and crouched down in front of the boy. Smart, passionate, and driven, he endures contempt and humiliation as he works relentlessly towards his dreams of success and wealth. They led this drama and made the excitement within its storyline through the alliances, the schemes and the conspiracies that were masterminded by those three or the rest of the cast who were equally convincing as actors and highly appreciated as characters. That would take years, we simply do not have the time, Hide-sama” another one of the elders pointed out “It has to be her” he added.
