I have a problem in getting one of my monitors to work through a VGA connection using a VGA to Display Port adaptor as the monitor only supports VGA input. If I remember correctly**, displayport actually can be run from VGA without an active adapter because displayport was based on DVI. recently had a user purchase 2 Samsung C32F391 Monitors, and I'm trying tog et them to work with his current workstation.There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. You're both right, in my experience a digital to analog usually works without the extra power because it uses the power from the digital signal, while an analog signal cannot provide enough power hence the need for external power on the active adapter.
