Our first impressionsDell U2412M exists in two color variants; a black edition and a silver edition. To ensure proper Self-Test operation, remove all digital (white DVIconnector) and analog (blue VGAconnector) cables from the back of the computer. Confirm that the audio line-in plug is completely inserted into the jack of the sound card or audio source.

eIPS panels have most of the same image characteristics as other IPS variants, which also means that the dirty / crystalized panel coating is present. Ensure that the video cable connecting the monitor to the computer is connected properly and is secure.Although the pop-up window disappears during writing, if you eject your media while the LED is still blinking, then you cannot complete your action on the media. Comfort is key: Tilt, swivel, pivot and adjust the height of your monitor to a maximum of 150mm because you should be comfortable while you work.

When the OSD first pops up you can adjust brightness and contrast and choose preset image quality settings, such as Text mode, which reduces brightness to the ideal amount for reading text on a white background. Despite the disappearance of the pop-up window, the media has been ejected while the LED was blinking.
