The RC-1 is the entry-level point into the Loop Station series and the most basic looper on offer from the historic pedal company.
It's simplicity is probably also its drawback: you can only save the loop you last recorded and you have to get used to hitting the pedal at exactly the right time or a new layer will be out of sync.The Ditto+ also features the groundbreaking 'Extended Loop Mode', which allows the user to overdub longer phrases on top of shorter loops.
You’re unlikely to ever need to record a loop that long, so both pedals provide more than enough recording time. The benefit of this system is that you can glance down at any time and know exactly whether your pedal is recording, overdubbing, playing back, or ready to playback a recording. You don’t need to guess whether your looper is in recording/playback mode as each mode is displayed in a different way using green or red lights.
