Boasting a whopping 1700W electric motor, the AdvancedRotak 650 is one of the larger motors on the Rotak range, making it best suited for medium and large sized gardens. The Bosch Advanced Rotak 650 trimmed very close to the edges and I only had to use the strimmer on a few strands rather than huge wads of grass. Ideal for experienced or casual gardeners, there is a choice of different sized grass boxes with the mowers. The Bosch AdvancedRotak 650 is the smaller brother to the Bosch AdvancedRotak 750, what’s the difference between them?

Even though the lid is made of plastic, I find mesh material can easily split, especially when mowing damp grass. In summary, I've only got a corded Flymo and a brief experience with a ride on to compare but I enjoyed using the Bosch. However the 650 model was available and the only difference I could see was a slightly narrower cut. Both the 650 and 750 come with a LeafCollect Blade that not only cuts the grass perfectly but also collects leaves for easy disposal. Another safety feature they have built in is double insulation to prevent any risk of electrical shock under normal conditions and use.

What I like about this mower is the seven different cutting heights and the easy way you adjust the height from the central handle.
