My first copy was almost perfect, but it had a repeated noise by the end of the final disc (unlucky, I know). The singular intent of 'Renaissance', a reinvention of four on the floor, is to showcase music that stirs you from the soul and encourages your dancing feet. The satin gloves are embellished with rhinestones that spell out “act i” on one arm, and “renaissance” on the other. In fact, they look similar to the ones she wore in an Instagram post to announce that “Break My Soul” was out.

I think people complaining about pops on a brand-new record are probably experiencing burrs, a byproduct of the cutting process. Pressing contains the original lyrics to track C4 "Heated" and interpolation of "Milkshake" by Kelis, found in track B2 "Energy.Unfortunately all of the inners have split seams on all sides, but the overall packaging is rather nice. When the cutting head plows through the lacquer, it can push some lacquer up over the edge of the groove, like if you ran your finger through the dirt. I’m not one to leave highly descriptive reviews on here, but I just had to leave one for this specific pressing of Beyoncé’s Renaissance. After repairing the seam splits to the cover and inner sleeves to the point where you can't see the damages I was finally able to listen to the album and enjoy it.

I did notice surface noise on my copy that wasn’t super noticeable during the songs, but definitely noticeable during the quiet passages. There were a few small pops on Side B in particular, but it seems like overall my pressing is of higher quality than other reviews indicated.

Although my copy came with scuffs and odd superficial scratches that came from either the pressing plant or paper sleeves, the overall sound quality is absolutely mind-blowing. had to take my 1st copy back which was noisy and also had black spots over the 1st LP most likely from a previous pressing of black vinyl. If you’re unsure what to expect from the singer, it’s been heavily praised by fans and critics alike. Sound quality is good, though I did notice some very light sibilance on the innermost track of each side, and the discs weren’t warped despite the super thick booklet thrown inside the gatefold. Since it’s release, I have spun both discs at least 20 times and the quality of playback hasn’t worn out one bit.

It's up there with James Brown's Live at the Apollo, Sam Cooke's Live at the Harlem Square Club, Donny Hathaway's Live. It is NOT in a "premium hard slipcase" as described, but rather a thin cardboard slipcase that i fear will wear out over time.We can only dream of being as glam as Beyoncé, but she’s certainly giving us a helping hand with these black crystal gloves.
