Despite it arguably being a Dying Moment of Awesome, it was also a Rasputinian Death as Damian went through a lot of torture trying to appeal to his Mother's better nature before finally getting stabbed through the chest.The main problem with The Dark Knight Strikes Again is that it doesn't live up to the expectations set by its predecessor. Using this as a means to show Gotham that Batman is a threat to society than being its protector nearly got away with it and almost turned all of Gotham against him. Because Bruce didn't trust her the plan failed and Stephanie was kidnapped and tortured by Black Mask.
