About this deal

The action is set in the fictional town of Aylesford, located in New York State’s Hudson Valley. It is a picturesque and haunting part of the Empire State, nestled within the Catskill Mountains a little more than an hour outside of NYC. Jumping ahead to present day, a man named Robert Pierce is phoning the police because his wife, Amanda, has not returned from a weekend away with one of her girlfriends. The problem is that the girlfriend, Caroline Lu, said she never went anywhere with Amanda and knew nothing about her weekend getaway. Your plots have many twists. How do you come up with these plot turns? Do you plan everything out beforehand or do you see where the story takes you?

Forget about solving all these crimes; the signal triumph here is (spoiler) the heroine’s survival.

With a lot more to come yet, she continues to write to this very day, as an author and as a spokesperson for her craft. Knowing and understanding her format, she has grown to become a confident and articulate writer in charge of her writing and her work. This looks set to continue on into the foreseeable future, as her audience grows day-by-day, with more and more discovering her work, something which will continue for many years to come. No, I don’t know who the killer will be at the outset, but I know it has to be one of several people. I start with a situation with a lot of possibilities, one that can go in many different directions, and then, as I develop all the threads, and as I come to the end, the best answer presents itself. I actually sniffed out where this was going earlier on, but there were still plenty of twists I didn't see coming that kept me guessing till the very end. My only small gripe is that not everything was explained; there was a small point left purposefully unclear and I had been looking forward to its explanation.

Book Series In Order Shari Lapena - Book Series In Order

What a crazy, wild and fun read this was! It was a buddy read with Kaceey and it was one of our favorite suspense reads of this year. When his mother Olivia discovers his misdeeds, she feels compelled to put anonymous apology notes in the homes he has violated. Unfortunately, in this tight-knit community, Olivia confides in her friend Glenda that Raleigh has been up to no good, and later comes to the realization that one of Raleigh's targets was the Pierce home itself. As the gossip spreads about Amanda's possible courtships, EVERYONE becomes a suspect, leaving the women with no one to trust. Who is at the epicenter of this tornado...and will the right suspect end up behind bars before they strike again? I flew through Shari Lapena's first book The Couple Next Door so was thrilled to be sent a proof of her new novel Someone We Know and what a treat it was. One neighbourhood, four couples, an amateur burglar and one dead body – this is a masterful whodunnit, perfectly paced and expertly plotted, that had me guessing all the way through. Like Desperate Housewives with bite. I loved it and couldn't put it down." Which character in Someone We Know did you have the most fun creating? Which one was the most challenging to write? This was a Traveling Sister read. The ending made for a good discussion as it is a love/hate scenario. To find this review, please visit our blog at:This is what Olivia Sharpe thinks. Her husband and son, and family lawyer are of a completely different opinion. The anonymous letters she has secretly sent her neighbours have enormous repurcussions on the life of everybody in this close-knit suburban neighbourhood, because everybody here has their own secrets. Psychological thrillers like to toy with characters’ and readers’ perceptions. Where did your sympathies lie as the story unfolded? How did they shift as the story progressed?
