About this deal

One of the things that helped me the most when I was making this is “if there’s a DC, FPDC in it – if there’s a FPDC, then DC in it”. Keep that in mind when making this scarf, or just using the Alpine Stitch in any other pattern. Fold sleeve and scarf in half lengthways. Whip stitch the edges of the sleeve (ribbed cuff) together for a total of 8″. Continue whip stitching the edges of the scarf for an extra 12″ / 30 cm or any desired length. Fasten off, weave in ends. Repeat on the other side. Share a picture!

Lay out scarf. On each end, fold to create sleeve and overlap by 10 stitches. Hold the place with stitch markers and count your stitches. You should have 32 sts total around the opening, 10 of which you will be working through both sides of the fabric. The width should be about 6.5” – 7” across at row one of the cuff. Insert your hook through both sides of the fabric where overlapped to start. (see photo)Crochet Technique Tutorials Learn all about crochet technique from Hannah of HanJan Crochet. There are so many ways to achieve the same result in crochet and there is no right or wrong – this is just the way I do things! Row 13: Ch-2, turn, (dc, sc) in first * dc in next, sc in next * repeat across, (dc, sc) in last. (44) Below you will find the notes and directions for making this easy sleeved scarf crochet pattern. Size Assembled: Row 17: Ch-1, turn, (sc, dc) in first * sc in next, dc in next * repeat across, (sc, dc) in last. (40) With Color B: Row 8: Ch 2, *FPDC, sk next SC, DC in next SC.* Repeat from * across to second from last stitch. DC in last stitch (Total 213 stitches). Turn.

It’s a great beginner crochet garment project or for anyone who wants to avoid shaping or joining. The simplicity of the construction allows the half double crochet stitch texture to shine through. Pattern Options Lay out scarf. On each end, fold to create sleeve and overlap by 10 stitches. Hold the place with stitch markers and count your stitches. You should have 26 sts total around the opening, 10 of which you will be working through both sides of the fabric. The width should be about 5.5” – 6” across at row one of the cuff. Insert your hook through both sides of the fabric where overlapped to start. (see photo) My best recommendation for this pattern would be Swish DK yarn by WeCrochet which is 100% fine super wash Merino wool, 123yds/50g in Frosting. It’s a good idea to try on the top before you weave in ends so that you can adjust exactly how many stitches to seam to fit you perfectly. Standard US Crochet TermsThis sweater scarf is made with simple, meditative stitches. The sleeves are made with post stitches, creating a beautiful ribbed texture. We’ll start working on the scarf and add sleeves lastly. Pattern is available in size S-XL and 2Xl-5XL and includes a step by step video tutorial. Measurements can easily be adjusted if you need a longer or wider sweater scarf. Crochet Blanket Patterns A collection of free crochet blanket patterns from HanJanCrochet for all the family. This pattern is written in 3 sizes: A (B, C). Size A fits bust sizes 28-38”, B fits bust sizes 40-50”, and C fits bust sizes 52-62” - so be sure to follow the correct size throughout. Model is wearing size A with a bust of 36.5”. Row 1: Ch-43, sc in 2nd ch from hook. * dc in next ch, sc in next ch * repeat across, dc in last ch. (42) dc in first st, *1 sc in next st, 1 dc in next st* repeat across, 1 sc in last st, ch 3, turn <36 (46)> This scarf is long. It is wide. It is plush, and cozy, and warm. THIS SCARF HAS SLEEVES!! It is also my new favorite piece of clothing. ♥ I decided to name it the “Give Me a Hygge” scarf because of the way you pronounce the yarn: Hoo-gah. Give me a HOO-GAH! Row 1: Sc in same st and across those 10 overlapped sts. Sc around entire opening. Join to top of first sc with sl st. (32)

Pattern contains instructions for 2 sizes: S/M/L/XL and 2XL/3XL/4XL/5XL. Directions for sizes are in parentheses such as “ch 39 (49)” whereas 39 stands for S-XL and 49 for 2-5XL. When only one number is given, it applies to all. VideoChain 215. (Optional: mark Ch 39 and Ch 174, just to keep you from working too far when assembling the sleeves) Lay out the sleeve (one at a time) so that the fabric naturally gets wider, like a sleeve would. Measure up from the first row of the cuff until you reach 10″ high. You want the width at the “top” of the sleeve to be about 9” across. Use a stitch marker to mark the place where the pieces intersect and to keep two pieces from separating as you sew. Row 8: Ch 2, *FPDC, sk next SC, DC in next SC.* Repeat from * across to second from last stitch. DC in last stitch (Total 213 stitches). Turn. Row 5:ch1, dc in BL of each st up to and including marked st, *htr in next st, htr in FL of next st, htr in BL of next st; rep from * to marked st, dc in BL of each st to end, turn.
