About this deal

I get it... you may not be able to control your key productivity time everyday due to meetings, but you can take advantage of knowing your schedule! Do the best you can to plan out your week, day-by-day. What tasks can you get done in one day? Which project will take you multiple days to complete? Throughout the week, spread out your work so that you can get it done in a feasible manner. Then, analyze your class schedule and/or meetings. Do not plan on spending five hours working on your final project the night before it's due which also happens to be the day you take 9 credit hours... it won't happen...trust me. Instead, take those five hours and plan them on a day that you have the easier class load. Not only is this more feasible, but you will feel better about yourself accomplishing your daily task plan. If you're strategic about this, it will really work! In the past, I have had some free days during my week because I planned my schedule so well. We tend to overestimate the effect of a technology in the short run and underestimate the effect in the long run. Train on these considerations; bake them into your governance and compliance frameworks and even into your vendor selection processes to select partners who share the same values as you. Upskill Yourself and Your People A lot of this release is predicated upon something called the… I forget the name… it’s some sort of model one can follow and it basically consists of working effectively for 25 minutes, taking a five minute break, another 25 minutes of work, and so on. I have tried something similar many years ago when writing and producing music, but found that I didn’t really benefit from having to interrupt my creative flux because of predetermined alarm-dictated short breaks. I’m sure there are advantages to working with the method, but it hasn’t worked for me so far. Maybe it’s something one has to get used to, as with anything worth doing, but I think people differ greatly in how they prefer to get things done. One example is Nikola Tesla, who allegedly could work for something like 80 hours, requiring neither sleep nor breaks. Most people aren’t Tesla of course, but that’s not my point. My point is that I firmly believe that there are many ways of doing things in such a manner that the results live up to whatever potential one may or may not have. We don't think you should try to be more productive for the sake of doing more or making someone else more money. We see personal productivity as something improves your life. The point of productivity apps is to make something you do smoother, easier, and more efficient. That way, you worry about it less and have more time and energy for everything else you love.

How Technology Leaders Can Prepare for Generative AI

Those who are disciplined are truly free. The undisciplined are slaves to moods, appetites and passions. Speaking of distractions, here’s the ultimate productivity killer. You may remember the dog in the movie Up. He would get distracted and say “squirrel!” during a conversation, and we all know people like that. There are good distractions that can re-direct your efforts, but most distractions just derail you. It’s best to weed them out as much as possible. Get a good pair of headphones, find a quiet place to work, and dig in for a few hours to finish a task. Save the squirrel moments for your off-work hours. It is entirely possible to build a profitable, successful online business without Insane Productivity, however.
