It's as perfect as Neverland can be.

PETER Stormonth Darling, who has died aged 86, was chairman of Mercury Asset Management (MAM), the investment arm of the powerful City merchant bank S.G. Warburg. From 1969 his flair and foresight saw MAM grow to become the City’s largest fund manager and was eventually sold for a large sum to the giant American finance house of Merrill Lynch in 1998.

Well kind of. Everyone has their own interpretations of Neverland and Pan’s story, and I think this one very much relies upon a very specific view. I wish this version had been illustrated better, as I still have a few questions. The Peter Pan of the original novel is not carefree or mischievous but rather arrogant and slightly sadistic. And arrogance and a certain tendency towards violence for violence's sake are elements that can be retraced in the Peter Pan reimagined by Austin Chant. Dues ex machina via Fairies. Like wow. Swamp Monster - a large female creature that resembles a snake and a lizard and lives in the haunted swampOne night-raid saw over 4000 shells bombard the platoon’s position followed by Chinese soldiers fighting ‘like tigers’ until dawn. It was a dire situation but Stormonth Darling showed his mettle and led his men with authority and bravery. Of the experience he wrote, “it stretched to the limit whatever qualities of leadership I may have possessed”.

Lost Kids - six children who do not know life in the real world and live with their leader Peter Pan in Neverland, because they, like him, have decided never to grow up. They are each very different and unique, and unlike most adaptations include girls.

Cleo, Chloe and Zoe - three mermaids who live in Mermaid Lagoon. They don't make friends with anyone else and spend their time alone. The water in which they live is enchanted and would turn any who touch it evil. They care deeply about their home but have a great desire to rule all of Neverland Peter had to run these calculations all the time when swinging around the city as Spider-man, so when the teacher called on him thinking he was distracted by his laptop, witch he was, he only had to glance at the scenario on the board to know the answer. Y así fue como llegué a este libro. Que encima lo leí en digital, cosa que nunca hago. Chicos, les juro que este es el retelling más extraño y más lindo que he leído.
