About this deal

And if looks are important, then there’s probably a style for you. It comes in a load of different colours, some amazing, and some, if we dare say so, not so amazing. But hey, to each their own! Who are we to judge? This makes it much easier to apply pressure while holding the entire canister in place over your mug. The Nanopresso is one of the best and most versatile espresso machines. A truly unique addition to your coffee toolkit! Built around a newly patented pumping system, the Nanopresso is capable of reaching, with the help of your hands, a maximum of 18 bars (261 PSI) of pressure for unparalleled coffee extractions qualities. The Wacaco Nanopresso Portable Espresso Machine works best with finely ground coffee that is tamped hard. It is delightfully easy to operate and simple to use. The Nanopresso requires 15% less force to pump compared to previous models (1st generation Minipresso). With Nanopresso, the power is in the machine, not in your hands. After each shot, Nanopresso maintenance takes only a few seconds. When necessary, the components of the portafilter are easily separated for deep cleaning.

This means pressure is based on your physical pumping instead of a mechanical pump that can wear out over time. If your grind is too coarse, your Nanopresso hand-held brewer won’t build up pressure correctly, and the result will be a poor, watery extraction without crema. This under-extracted cup will leave you with notes of sourness and acidity that are just plain unpleasant.

all’s done

In fact, we feel like it’s precisely because this machine is so simple and the technology is boiled right down to the essentials, that it’s easy to tweak and see immediate results. Within a few days, you do feel like you’re learning a lot about honing in on that perfect espresso. Thanks Simon! I’m using the Barrista Kit, works the same. Extremely tamped, (presumably) “fine” grind on the 1Presso Mini Grinder, and a steady, lovely stream. While we may be satisfied, it’s never fully satisfied, is it? Good suggestion to tinker with grind until approaching the edge of drip-drip/bitter-slow extraction is reached. Then either configure that special ‘spot’ varying tamping and/or grind. And, I imagine, removing/replacing the pressure piece. The price tag might be a bit too much for some. However, I think it’s justified for a product with this level of finesse.

First, grinding fresh releases aromas that will come through in your brew. The less fresh your grounds are, the less aroma there is, and I think we can all agree that smelling your brew is almost as satisfying as tasting it. There are a few simple steps to follow to clean your Nanopresso properly. By following these steps, you avoid common issues such as mineral build up, clogging from loose grounds, and more.

Anyone who has owned an automatic home espresso machine knows the pressure quality can deteriorate dramatically overtime; making your espresso taste watery and weak. If you have any questions or need help, please drop us a line on [email protected] or give us a call and we’ll happily help.
