In this post, I show you how to cut up a mango so you can get the most fruit out of it, with minimum wastage. This depends. When you make your own dried mango using a dehydrator, or an air fryer, no added sugar is needed. In this dehydrated mango recipe and in many of my dehydrated fruit recipes, I have found that the ideal temperature is 55c/130f. What are mango slicers?

Slice vertically down the length of the mango about a quarter of an inch from the stem. If you hit the hard pit, just move the knife a little further away from the midline and slice down again. This will give you one fleshy cheek. Do the same with the other side. Peel the skin first with a vegetable peeler, if desired. Just make sure to have a tighter grip on the fruit as the flesh is very slippery. Always wash and dry mangoes before slicing. Excess dirt and dust is prone to exist on the outer surface. Cut the stem end off first. This creates a "foot" for the mango to balance on while you continue to remove the flesh from the seed.
