Absolutely buzzing to hit 100% on our crowdfund! Thank you all so much for the support, it's been phenomenal. We've had so many amazing new people join the LOAH Crew and we can't thank you enough. We tried mostly IPAs (our favorite) but sprinkled in a handful of seasonals as well. Everything was top-notch, but if we had to choose a favorite, it’d be the Dream Machine Mango (a milkshake IPA). Seedrs does not provide legal, I enjoyed supporting this small business because of the humble vibe, these folks are making an effort to create some of the best beers on Oahu and it shows. These were some of the most creative beers we’ve had to date. Kona Brewing Co. is a staple in Oahu’s craft brewery scene. Founded in 1994, Kona Brewing has been perfecting the craft for almost 30 years and it shows. We were excited to try their brewery on Oahu and made it a priority to visit because we’ve been buying their beers for as long as I can remember.
Loah was created following consumer demand for a low-alcohol beer option with a lighter flavour to appeal to both beer lovers and haters alike. With Google search terms for ‘low alcohol’ peaking to their highest point in three years this June, consumers are demanding low and no alcohol options for all palates. The low and no-alcohol market is expected to grow by 22% by 2024*, however, current contenders are failing to appeal to a health-conscious demographic who want a lighter-tasting beer. As a result, parent company Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I’s goal is to have 20% of its volumes to be no- or low-alcohol by 2025, expanding into untapped occasions like lunchtime drinking and engaging with younger, more conscientious consumers. All told, Maui Brewing is a great choice for those in search of the best breweries in Honolulu. There’s a huge variety of beer to choose from and the menu is impressive as well. Maybe it was the high exceptions, maybe it was the light brews but we ultimately left wanting more. of the value of the loans is being granted in options. The company has an options pool set up which will be used for this purpose, and this options pool has been factored into the pre-money valuation. Please note, however, that depending on the share price upon the time of conversion, the options pool may need to increase further to accommodate this, which may lead to future dilution. If I’m being honest though, most of the Oahu breweries we tried left much to be desired. I’d say the island is still getting its feet wet when it comes to beer making. Many beers were too light for our liking, and the IPAs needed more bite. across two evenly split, 0% interest shareholders’ loans, entered into in June '23. These loans are to be repaid after a future Series A financing round. P.S. If you’re a fan of porters, don’t sleep on the options available at Beer Lab HI. As mentioned, I’m not a huge porter fan but found myself impressed nonetheless.
