Dedicated vocal effects, harmony and voice transformers derived from VE vocal processors enable you to take your music - or podcast! - in engaging and creative new dimensions. Even more useful podcast features Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided. For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs.

The most powerful effects suite in the Gigcaster 8 is definitely on the guitar input though. This channel comes loaded with an entire guitar signal chain, using BOSS's latest amp and effects models taken directly from the GT-1000. There is a huge range of tones available in the bundled presets alone, from fantastic feeling high gain amps to beautiful ambient cleans, acoustic simulation, rotary speakers, you name it. Of course, you're not limited to the presets - you can get as deep with your signal chain as you'd like in the edit window, or using the dedicated Gigcaster app. Effect Patches: GUITAR: 200 (User) + 100 (Preset), SING: 200 (User) + 30 (Preset), TALK: 200 (User) + 30 (Preset) The Gigcasters are designed to be pretty much self-contained, and to that end, each one comes with a colour touch display and plenty of hands-on controls. Audio sources can be mixed with faders and mute buttons, signal levels can be viewed on screen, and we’re promised easy access to routing options. The assignable pads, meanwhile, can be used for triggering sounds and tweaking the effects.

But it's not just crystal-clear, because the Gigcaster also feature vocal processing effects to embellish your cadence. Dedicated vocal effects, harmony and voice transformers derived from VE vocal processors enable you to take your music - or podcast! - in engaging and creative new dimensions. For high quality vocals, look no further! The GSC-8 Gigcaster's mic inputs feature phantom power and high-grade preamps with low noise to ensure sparkling clarity and vocal articulation. With a staggeringly wide gain range (+70dB) it can adapt to any input level you encounter.

This bright and generously proportioned display is the heart of the Gigcaster 8, and it's how you access its more detailed features. It affords huge "tweakability" for all of your inputs via a very intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface - something that's absolutely invaluable in a live broadcast, especially if you're doing it solo, like most of mine are! Mic inputs can be easily configured for singing, dialogue or console-style processing that's appropriate for synths, drums, acoustic instruments or any other source you might want to connect. There are reverb, delay, modulation, and even special effects presets for things like radio and telephone vocals. These effects are not just for musicians - they're great for adding interest, humour and drama to your live content.A touchscreen on the front panel opens up the compact mixer’s functionality. The operating system is well-designed and easy to follow, even if you’re not an experienced mixer; clear icons and bright colours help to guide you through the various processes of assigning inputs and changing things like EQ and effects. Speaking of which, there’s a generous amount of built-in processing available, starting with a selection of amps and guitar and bass effects taken from the acclaimed GT-1000. So you’re able to plug in and play with no extra gear, whether it’s for jamming, recording or broadcasting. BOSS Gigcaster 8. Image: BOSS The more compact Gigcaster 5 drops the channel count to five and gives you a direct guitar/bass input, two XLR inputs, stereo line input, eight virtual sound/effect pads and 16x12 USB audio interfacing. For musicians or casters that focused on performing rather than audio tweaking, Boss's array of footswitches, expression pedals and GA-FC EX foot controller lets you influence the GCS-8 from afar.

What is different about this Gigcaster 8 is that it is guitar-centric and has built in guitar and singing multi-effects. It also uses the standard Boss effects pedal 9v power (or USB power) which is super convenient for us guitar players who have lots of these laying around (often with extra long cables). If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offeredWith two exceptionally powerful audio control centres, Boss have given content creators plenty of choice for commanding their streams or recordings. But which is right for you? The Gigcaster 5's streamlined approach is ideal for users that don't require physical effect pads or the extra three channels, however, if you're searching for that advanced functionality, consider the Gigcaster 8's upgraded feature set. Bottom line, I'm really surprised Boss missed the opportunity with this and question if it should carry the Boss name. Do I love it? Yes, I kept it. I still recommend it for solo singing guitarists. Boss have announced the upcoming release of the Gigcaster 5 and Gigcaster 8, a pair of new audio streaming mixers aimed at musicians creating online audio and video content. Both models feature a built-in USB audio interface which can be used by a DAW or streaming software, as well as boasting direct integration with popular platforms such as YouTube, Facebook Live and Twitch.
