About this deal

also, what kind of ganglord lets a cop live at his house, are you mentally okay Julian??? do you need psychological help???) i said this before and i'm going to repeat it again: too tragic. this relationship was too much. why? because julian is getting a love interest and that girl could give him the moon and it still wouldn't mean anything because the author decided that he had to fall hopelessly in love with Magnolia and it ruined his character. I was so disappointed because I hoped and expected to be taken in by their story again and I was dead wrong. Too much Tiller for too long and I have to say.. didn’t know she hadn’t confirmed Daisy and Christian as end game. That makes me even more pissed off because Magnolia is having an entire live story play out with Julian and yet we know it’s pointless, but we have to wait YEARS to find out if Daisy and Christian make it? I would just guess yes, but the way she hates anyone other than Magnolia and BJ makes me wonder if she won’t just ruin them too so she has characters to hurt and emotions to manipulate readers. All 20-year-old Daisy Haites has ever wanted is a normal life, but as the heiress to London’s most notorious criminal empire, it’s just not on the cards for her.

Magnolia aside, I didn‘t want to read about Julian falling in love. I liked this difference between Daisy and Julian regarding their love lives. And I just have to say… a meeting with the most dangerous men of the country in Julians house is unrealistic. Again, this shows that this whole book is based on Magnolia and Julian because what was the point of this scene? Correct, Julian falling in love with Magnolia. Was this better than the first daisy haites book? no. (in my opinion) even if it’s still good. But I’ll gladly reread the first one more than this one. Raised by her older brother Julian since their parents were murdered, Daisy has never been able to escape the watchful gaze of her gang-lord brother. But Julian’s line of work means that Daisy’s life is… complicated. And things don’t become any easier when she falls hard for the beautiful and emotionally unavailable Christian Hemmes, who happens to be one of the few men in London who doesn’t answer to Julian.Magnolia - Magnolia was the other character who had the biggest disservice done to her in my opinion. In the other three books, Magnolia was portrayed as a very sweet girl with a large personality who was maybe a bit too ditzy and obsessed with fashion. But in this book Jessa Hastings basically made her a stereotype of herself. There is a difference between being a little naïve and being as dumb as she was in this book. You are telling me that she genuinely thought everyone was lying about Julian being "the most dangerous man in London." Why did she know absolutely nothing about him or his life?? It was a horrible look for her. Jessa basically used her as comic relief by making her the joke everyone but her was in on. I was cringing so hard at some of her lines and scenes. That scene where she interrupted the gang meeting was the most second hand embarrassment I've gotten from a character in a LONG time. I had to physically stop reading because I was about to pull out my hair. I was just so incredibly disappointed in how she was portrayed in this book.

A girl who was brought up in the world of crime, yearning to be normal. Daisy is SO badass.' (FIVE STARS)The Plot: non existent. we lost the plot the second Magnolia came in (again, we're not surprised, considering the obsession the author has with her).
