Ten years after the introduction of Blue Power’s first gas atomisation system, the AUS 500 is set to expand its portfolio of systems for powder production and classification. Dr. Fischer-Bühner, head of R&D at Blue Power, stated that the system will enable every AM user to produce small batches of high-quality, spherical powder at an affordable price, without complex infrastructure. Along with many other technical firsts, the compact turbodiesel engine makes 148 bhp at 3,600 rpm and 350 Nm of torque between 1,800 and 2,600 rpm. 10% and 9% improvement respectively over the outgoing 2.5-litre engine. Also new is the option of having a six-speed automatic or manual transmission to pair with the new engine.

Blue Power Casting Systems
This includes further differentiation of the company's product by emphasising its local content and will ultimately include completion of the installation of saponification equipment for the production of soap noodles in Jamaica. The installation of the saponification equipment was cited as one method in which Blue Power could employ to get around the adverse ruling by COTED, thereby returning its special duty access within the Caricom market. In using the Hydrogen Fuel to charge the batteries while the vehicle is operating, it means we greatly minimise the amount of batteries needed. The importance of on the Environment cannot be underestimated, as early on in the design phase our development team were conscious that batteries, and crucially the natural compounds that are used in their construction (such as Lithium) were minimised. The result is that our Bluepower product uses less than 30% of the batteries, when compared with other full Electric chassis on the market. In an apparent swipe at DCP Successors, Dr Tanna remarked that Blue Power “will vigorously defend its legal rights to access these international markets competitively”. The income from the core soap business is supplemented by investment income, as well as income from rental property and warehousing operations.
