This preventative ankle brace is therefore not suitable for wearing while you are suffering from an existing sprain. If you fall between sizes, either size should provide appropriate support, and you should make your decision based on how you would like to use your brace. If you're using your the A60 strictly for sports and athletic activity, we would recommend the smaller size for a snug and slim fit. If you're using the A60 for more casual everyday use, the larger size may be better for long-wearing comfort. What If My Ankle Is Swollen? When it comes to its general composition, this specific item is mostly made with the Breath-O-Prene® material. It is a material that promotes breathability, which is important in the prevention of perspiration build up. Plus, the product is also latex-free. For me, the Airsport is a better brace than the A60. The Airsport is bulkier than the A60 but still fits fine in running / squash shoes and probably would be okay in football boots laced lightly. After 1-2 minutes of running around with the Airsport on, you forget it's there. The Airsport is also cushioned and more comfortable than the A60 which has a lot more edges which I found rubbed.
As the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace features an anatomical shape to fit with the curves of your ankle, it should be worn only on the specified foot. If you find that you have a particularly protruding ankle bone, we recommend that you boost the comfort of your A60 Ankle Brace with a gel sleeve. Can I Wear an Aircast A60 Ankle Brace on Both Ankles? When wearing the Aircast AirSport, we would recommend wearing shoes that have a loose design.
